It's physically impossible to get a good ping on sattelite compared to dsl or fiber users... Unless the speed of light gets faster...

I uninstalled Cablenut and didn't lose any speed at all. Although, I do have SatSpeed and TCPoptimizer tweaks still on.

Just tell me what's in the red box on yours... You don't need the picture, I just put that in for help finding it.

It's going to be really hard for you to get it working. I think you need a qualified installer to make Direcway install you to a dish (sattelite). There are many people who have installed their own dishes on the direcway forum at dslreports.com, maybe you can get some more help over there.

That's not going to help us much, pages load faster without it anyway.

It's probably a poorly aimed dish... What's your signal? My signal is 50, and I don't ever do the cros-pol test because I'm afraid I'm going to fail and have to call Direcway. Yes, call Direcway and they'll "force" you through, but not without asking a few dumb questions.

Just make sure you unplug the modem before you do anything to it.

I don't see why it would be bad to wash it... I've washed it before with "Simple Green" and mine still works fine.

I don't know if you were talking to me, but check my signature for mine. Last time I ran the auto crosspol test I got a 61, which I heard is barely above passing. I'm not going to take the chance of running it again until I'm confident that I'll pass. I heard that if you don't you have to call tech support and get them to force it through, which is something I dont want to do. My Zip = 47448

My crosspol barely passes and I get just about the fastest speeds of anyone I've seen on the 7000 (not counting speed bursts). There are many people that download 131-133 kb/s, including me, in the morning, that's about the fastest you're going to see Direcway going, I don't call that "screaming".

I have the 7000, so I'm a little bit faster upload wise, but I've found a bittorrent program that works good with my Dway system, it's called utorrent: http://www.utorrent.com/ . Like php said, watch the FAP, but with max speeds on the torrent of 50kb/s for me, I don't think I can hit the FAP in 4 hours.
