Overall I would sat you are doing pretty good ! As for the " network congestion ", at those speeds, my best assumption would be that is the router or firewall breaking down the packets for the internal network, something like this. ( very basic ) Data from application > TCP packets > IP packets > Subnet packets > Link packets then transmitted into physical signal into a series of " pulses " then as recieved vice versa. They all contain : An Application layer Transport Layer Internet Layer Subnet Layer Link Layer Which become the " physical Layer " This requires quite a bit of work from your hardware, therefore at your sppeds , It could be possible that your actual router is the bottleneck. Just my lame ass thoughts, I'm sure there is someone here that knows much better to explain .

Haha , sounded like a pop gun from the vid , you need somethin that goes BOOM ! Very cool none the less.

A friend of mine had the same thing happen, only they shut him down until he called. They sent out a tech to confirm his wireless network was vulnerable , therefore it could have been anyone in his direct vicinity. ........................

Control + alt + del , then click task manager, click the performance tab, and see at the least, what percentage or your processor is being used, as well as your memory, you may as starship stated, check for something running w/o your permission.

Hmm , I thought the battery was to save your chip settings during the kill process, I wasn't aware it was vital to pre operating system testing or boot .

I have been w/ Nextel for at least 8-9 years, I could stand to see an internet capable device w/ all the goodies on it in the form of an iphone, but I don't see it happening as they don't need the business. Hell , the U.S. military uses them so why would they try to drum up more customers by gimmicky features.

Plz Help Me out Here! Comcast Is Not really helpful at all....
mudmanc4 replied to example's topic in Make it Faster...
I can't imagine they do like it, as the results you get here, are most accurate ! It makes them look bad , because they cannot always insure the bandwidth they sell. One more perfect example of why we need Testmy.net ! BTW are you gonna pay another $59 ? What do the do for the money? -
You must be careful when doing this, I'm no total guru on Linux , but I have done extensive reading on the Linux file system, and she's nothing like any other,I believe there are ways to access the other file systems , but be careful, you may lose all data on slave drive. Here's a good resource link. Do some reading and investigating on this, you may find other ways that may suit you better. http://tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/html/

:2funny: I hear that ! All I ever get is : When are you gonna be done Are you done yet Can you do this while your here, it's only a little bit more This other guy said he could do it for $$$$$$$$$ cheaper And when it cracks three years later, because of settling and or crappy framing, I get what did you do wrong? Hell , I generally don't set a time limit ( within reason on the warranty). I have aguy right now, that I contracted his house almost five years ago, and he's callin the builder complaining to him that I wont fix the settling cracks for free :2funny: I offered to do the work for time and material ( cheap as hell ) and thats not good enough. So in the end , since he's bein a butt-head, he'll either pay me, or someone else to do it. If he was a little bit understanding, I probably would have done it for a beer. I love it when they expect the drywall to hold up the structure :2funny: :2funny: -
