you know zalt i looked at the IP twice , and thought something , but it didnt register , good catch !!!!!!!!!!

Well I see they have you going to ney york sicy , then masseschutses <<<< geeze i always despised writing that state , I wonder who decided the name.......before heading off to the big pipe , this is not helping you any. Consider using opendns , this might help a little, maybe, from time to time lol But until something changes , you'll take this route of maybe of around 2000-3000 miles out of the way before heading anywhere. Nothing that can be done about that. Maybe do a few more tracrts and see if the results are the same ? or did you already
-
Hi , My first thought are the possible network traffic in georgia , it is insane , so if your going there first , you'll get slowed down by all means. Can you do a tracrt to testmy.net and post it ? Second , the ISP will always and ONLY test within there local network , as they cannot guarantee anything past this. Please also keep in mind that some other speed tests will show you running higher then you actually are , so that you smile and come back for more of that good fast feeling. The ISP tech might check the drop and local port , as well as the integrity of the two. Chances are they have over loaded a node , although they'll never admit to it.
-
Yes, testmy.net come a long way , been around for some time, the tests have always been accurate , and the community......... yea , were all about the whole butthurt thing , just ask around
-
haha , yes of course you have tdawn we know * pats her on the head* and geezus Damon .......................................................... >>>>>>>>>>>

I dunno how familiar you are with your mac , but time machine is your built in backup solution. You do not need to use it, in fact at this point , you should go into your prefs and disable it. You can go back and deal with that ( which is simple btw ) once you locate the issue. Take ca3les advice , go through one by one his suggestions, if you have already or are finished , then it may be a port issue , on the ISP side , maybe a node card gone south or about to, it could also be that someone on the node is uncapped , or several people are in one way or another hogging what bandwidth is available. Idé also have to say that chances are as ca3le said , this heat has effected a physical aspect of the physical connection somewhere along the line. as OSX is known for it's ease and fluent speed. You are using safari arent you ? If not , use it. Get a program that no mac user should be without little snitch , it is a highly configurable firewall, cheap and effective, I wont run a mac w/o it. There is a free version , but you'll be limited as to the time it will run per session , it will run forever though , you just have to keep restarting it, just buy it.

You'll need to make sure you have set in your config.php (?) file , database persistence set to 'off ' It may have tried to re write the tables with each other yes ? I should ask what version mysql your running error in dropping tables tells us that the path to the slave is not set properly , in one fashion or another , or that f your using an older version of mysql , that the log is not set on the slave " replicate-same-server-id = 0 " actually = " 1 " ? or the unique slave Id is not set properly on the slave db

Hell , I have a nice pile of stuff , it is my desk lol Anymore in this room and I'll become completely cyborg and meld into it as one ....... Let us know if the new cable takes care of it And for your own safety , please get a router !!!!! You can go into system preferences > Network > Ethernet > Advanced > ethernet ......and make sure it's set to automatically (configure)

Safari gets 100/00 where firefox ends up at 94/100 I s a rule use webkit / safari , on another screen with less important data I'll use firefox.

Well thanks for the input zalt , really, but almost all of those I already have and or old news. How did I know that I would get this type of response hahah It is so predictable anymore it's pitiful. Always against what you dont understand, never learn new things, stick with what you know. And in case no one noticed , something is seriously wrong with the indexing of the forum, so of course, not many people will see it until this is fixed.

Yea ok, so as we all know by now Apple has taken the market share , and developers are punching out apps like no tomorrow anymore, what is it that makes your mac. I have a few favorites myself but always looking for the next best thing to get it done. A couple would be forklift , emacs , textedit, navicat , subethaedit, artext2 , to name a few.

I agree w/ you d , I was never a fan of installing more software to perform a task that the OS was capable of.
-
Hey Fred, like suggested , i would also like to see a speedtest done here compared to your advertised speeds, if you have the time
-
Hi Greggj , please let us know if you have anymore issues. We'll look into it further. rick
