Only one reason i stopped it , the osx core was way off , with no way to control it , the proc would heat up to 200 F , and at times over. I'm moving the office around within the next week to two , I have a HP Proliant DL 380 G3 2x3.06 Ghz that isnt doing much more then hosting all my local sites and files, and will likely be folding here when I get a minute. Just need to have a look see about a centOS core. Dang man , you shot right up there didnt you !!!

Looking For A Fast Booting Distro For A Netbook
mudmanc4 replied to Le_Murphant's topic in Linux Help
I think right now linux mint is something you should look into. I have it on an old dell , wont even bother looking to see what the specs are , but it's light and fast. Boots quick also. The install takes eon's , but after that , your golden. -
As you may well know , repeat or bridge modes are not functioning on your current firmware. And the routers are not supported on dd-wrt , openwrt , or tomato firmwares due to there high failure rate , which I think is 1:5 , which is out of every 5 , one functions as it should. With no experience with the wrt 120 I would not know where to start myself, hope someone else has a solution.

Is Cavtel Causing My Ftp Issues?
mudmanc4 replied to PastorP's topic in Cavalier Telephone cavtel.net
Sorry took me so long to get back. php.ini should be in the root folder of the server ie~ c:php/ i think this depends on if your running 64 or 32 bit server, also might be settings in the fastcgi or php-cgi.exe , I'm not real familiar with a windows server so I hope someone else that does comes in here for you. -
Is Cavtel Causing My Ftp Issues?
mudmanc4 replied to PastorP's topic in Cavalier Telephone cavtel.net
well i dont see how it could be , but then again , i dont know why increasing the timeout doesnt fix it either. If a smaller file goes , then the server is still talking to the client , if the server times out during a larger file , this can mean that the client is not 'tickling the server to keep it alive. It could also mean that the max post size and file in php.ini is set to low , have you looked at this ? -max upload filesize -max post -
Is Cavtel Causing My Ftp Issues?
mudmanc4 replied to PastorP's topic in Cavalier Telephone cavtel.net
Well I'm no dreamweaver expert , but if other servers did the same thing with dreamweaver , and another ftp client doesn't , I can only assume it's related to dreamweaver. And it's well known for various ftp related issues. Did you go in and change the timeout settings in DW ? It must be related. -
Is Cavtel Causing My Ftp Issues?
mudmanc4 replied to PastorP's topic in Cavalier Telephone cavtel.net
The common denominator if you will , here is obviously the program used to upload and or connect. ''If you have another way of uploading to the server a large file , try this , and rule out anything other then dreamweaver , yea ? Then move from there. -
Is Cavtel Causing My Ftp Issues?

Ok , sorry your running IIS 7 with 08' , that should be ~ appcmd set config /section:asp /maxRequestEntityAllowed:int Or you may get there via taskbar, click Start, Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. > Connections > home > ASP > Limits Properties , you should see it there This could be so many things is why i think there pointing fingers , hahah , Just checking the obvious first. I don't have to much access to 08' , still using 03 , cause it works for the local junk I have. And thats all getting moved to a linux box. Also you can check your ftp compatibility to "passive mode " . If nothing works , disconnect if possible your local router and get a straight through connection , just to rule out the local router isnt the issue. -

Set your time-out adjustments , you can find them in ~ Edit - Preferences and the Site > time out , I think 60 seconds is default . Could be in IIS settings as well ~ Open your metabase.XML which is located in c:\Windows\System32\Inetsrv find the line "AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed" and change it to "1073741824". IE 1 GB -

Whats Your Deadbeat School Hitting The Kids Up For This Year?
mudmanc4 replied to zalternate's topic in General Discussion
No uniforms here , but every year at the begining , we get a list of items we need to buy. Which includes the obvious , plus items like tissues , which still makes me ask wth , but if I think about it, imagine thousands of kids blowing there beaks each day , hell , it would take a levy on it's own. hahaha -
Next time you need to do an install give them a try. If you really need to know , then just put a XP disk in, reboot , run the installer , when it finds another installation , do the repair , not with the console , when it is finished type the key in your curious about , if it works , then your golden. Just make sure you have a proven key before doing this lol
-
grab yourself a used cisco 2900 XL-en and learn a little bit of IOS , you'll have a ton of fun , and maybe make something work out for you .
-
If the program needs to access a server to verify the key , this may be a reason. Look in your host file . You may be able to direct the request to 127.0.0.1 and with a little ingenuity make it work. Just my thoughts

Welcome guy's , the more you look around here, the more you'll get attached . There's so much information here at testmy.net . before you know it , you wont be able to stay away. It's just that way here.
