Depending on the location of the server in relation to your location, peak time and peak testing times on other sites , you may get different results. With testmy.net , the server at the moment is a constant. Of course we all deal with peak times, but this is a given and is not relevant to testmy.net servers. Just your specific route. You may have a optimal reference to your issues , that is if you are aware of issues within your local network to begin with, yet still get an elevated test at one of the flash testing sites. It can be a good indication as to the more accurate testing procedure. Which my thoughts are your getting higher test scoring elsewhere.

Well from 08 or not , RR is shit anymore , absolutely useless. Unreliable uptime , predictably slow , hit and miss when it comes to anything remotely as they were mere months after the takeover. I'm not bothering with them any longer, iv'e had my fill of the stale comments from a centralized phone service telling me it's on my end, I know better. Especially when i speak with my neibors , and those in this town. It's gotten to the point that even the TV tiles , and they claim nothing is wrong , ' everything looks good from here ". I got sick of the chase for a better phone and a million things on it , chucked them all but a cheap plastic old ass flip phone. I love it ! Looking at your coverage map , can you say weather your deep within the zone , or on the edge of the coverage zone. Not asking for an exact location of course. Also it seems that your IP may be shared, considering how close you are to testmy.net server , I would recommend running the timed test, this way we can see at what times you have peak or low bandwidth. 2.4 ghz is close to a lot of cordless items , such as most older wireless home phones and of the likes. You can run a traceroute to testmy.net to see where your being routed, and to get a better idea of the latency in your connection. If it is in fact due to the wireless, or if there is a congested node somewhere thereafter.

Havent had a lick of trouble with my HTC , in fact quite the opposite, it's been dropped countless times in two years , with it's aluminum body , it takes it like a man , worst thing is the back flew off once forcing me to chase it into busy street before traffic got a chance to eat it. I guess I'm looking for technology that probably doesn't exist, that will allow any USB device to be accessible via http , as i can already access everything i need locally in several ways. And I can access them remotely through any machine there connected through if i have the right permissions set. And if I put them into a server , that would defeat the purpose , as I boot from them locally at times , so i need the USB connection as well. I borked up an entire site today while upgrading to VB 4.1.x pl2 , due to something strange with the permissions changing and upload mode. I dont like auto, but it works most the time , if you have your file settings right. Like with transmit , you can set what files you wan to upload in what mode , as well as what permissions. I would keep using transmit , but it's gone whacky as well, during sftp uploads , i get server errors telling me it the server didnt accept the password , all the while uploading some of what it feels it feels like. Anyhow, so i opened forklift , which I've always had good luck with. Now for some reason , it refuses to upload in binary , rendering everything that should be in text format useless. ( insert slit throat icon here ) Iv'e sent panic a request for assistance , but that can take days if ever a reply comes. So thats out. i resorted to cyber duck , which was always fine , but today, and i swear I'm not going mad , i went that route years ago , thats how I know lol , but cyberduck uploaded to the root directory, overwriting what folders were named what the new uploads were , IE /images , index.php ect , you get it anyway. When the site i was uploading is a subdirectory within the root. I know for a fact i selected the /folder i wanted. Anyhow , I restored from backup the root site, but i still need to get the sub site back up. Iv'e used three frackin ftp clients to kill two sites today . The main problem is forklift keep changing the file permissions to null or " --------" as well as owner ect. but leaves the folders where they were as far as permissions , wtf Iv'e not had to change the upload mode with forklift , before , and i cannot locate the setting , anyone ? Iv'e checked my system files permissions prior to uploading , there fine. Only thing i can think of , is i switched to plesk 10.1 last week , which is a real pain in the ass and moves me further to the terminal for everything possible. could there be a setting in the new version thats causing this ? Thats far fetched and should have no bearing on ftp sessions at all , historically anyhow. I thought about it and I have had these upload issues since then, but transmit was acting up a year ago. I just got around it by manually clicking upload on each file while larger files / folders were uploading , if they finish before i do , you just never know what was / was not uploaded , and the process starts again. Yea , it's a lot , maybe someone can tell me wtf i am doing to bork everything up.

Ryan , thats precisely why so many people that are technically or so inclined , search out alternative roms to begin with, the battery life stock rom stinks on ice !!!!! ca3le I used almost everything out there before going back to mighty rom. I initially switched from the original mighty rom because i couldnt bear looking t that silly micky mouse on boot lol , then after beating myself up and grew sick of pukin the battery life out , i went back. Although i was never able to complete a test here at tmn with mighty rom , it was the only workable solution. I used off top the head , caulkins, mighty, conflipper was a freak of nature , I loved it ! but mighty had way more possibilities built in, and many other vanilla flashes to get a scope. I started in learning to cook with conflippers , just got lost on other things , as usual.

So apple releases there new app store this past friday the 6th in there 10.6.6 update. ....... Myself I've read enough BS about what to expect, I've opted out of the update for now. Looks as if apple is test running this idea that is supposedly going to be a staple of there next major OS update. Before committing my thoughts I thought better to ask those of you who have either auto updated or intentionally updated to 10.6.6 to get your experiences and gain a bit of actual changes that are made. As of right now I'm rather tweaked at many of the comments I've been reading that apple is trying to take control of the market by censorship ( thats what I will call it for now )

What I'm not understanding is how or why you'll carry the SSL from one domain to another, why not just skip the concern for SSL as a prerequisite , and redirect via simple link to the secured server ? No need for anything in .htaccess , yes ? Either way , if they don't have the proper credentials , they cannot log in , right ? Just create a link stating ( whoever ) and point them to the www1.https://secured.domain . There are many things you can do via .htaccess to prevent the running of malicious scripting and of known bad url , those silly brute force attempts ect. Even going further but password protecting a directory.

Hey guys this is massively popular all around the world, no joke. Would i do it / Probably, i tell you why , sobriety sucks ass , I search for ways to get a charge out of life and if this is what gets it then hell yea. Been priming myself for something like this , renting a kayak down on the maumee , spending hours out there fishing for the channel cat trying to build up my stamina . I'm installing imagemagick Iv'e ssh into my server cd /tmp wget "url" then tar xvfc the archive , cd /imagemagick ............. now I try to run ./configure , and i get a bad interpreter permission denied error i thought it might be because i am running ssh as root ? Any idea ? I don't want top start playing fun w/ root permissions so an help will help update: the host is keen on security , so the /tmp directory is mounted with /noexec , to prevent certain exploits. I had to remount the directory mount -o remount,exec /tmp And make sure to remount again to /noexec mount -o remount,noexec /tmp Dunno why i didnt think of that , but hey
