mudmanc4 Posted December 1, 2009 Author CID Share Posted December 1, 2009 Mudmanc4 is the one you need for that. He is really in to linux! Nah, just a few things in there, I don't really mess with it that much anymore. I was into it pretty heavy for a while, but got involved in other things. i've been pretty good. i'm trying to learn linux ubuntu. linux sucks with ati graphics. i dont know how to install the driver. I NEED VIDEO STEP BY STEP. Just don't install any drivers unless your at least 80% sure it's gonna work. Here's where I would start, it'll tell you the commands to "sudo apt-get " what you need , and from where. Linux is great, it's amazing what you take away from staying with it for a while, you can use what you learn in a lot of other applications. Minstrel Posted December 14, 2009 CID Share Posted December 14, 2009 Hi to all in the forum: These are the most recent results I've gotten after using "j79zlr's" cablenut tips & tweaks, :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 14340 Kbps about 14.34 Mbps (tested with 12288 kB) Download Speed is:: 1750 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 453 Kbps about 0.5 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB) Upload Speed is:: 55 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Main) Test Time:: 2009/12/13 - 11:04pm D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-UNRHAZCMV U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-IXSTV8Q4A User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) [!] I am very happy with the DL speed , but if anyone can point in the direction to improving the UL, I would be much obliged! I used to get mid 700's on UL but can't come close with any custom settings. And when I use the Cablenut suggested settings for Cable, I lose my top DL speeds.
