Of course not but I know how to do it so I don't have to complete the12160KB test I just let it run about a minute.I would have to look at my stats I have ran a long test a couple of times. But these are from my stats they are 2 long tests I ran the right way. 26 Jun 2005 Download 36 20972 kB 19823453661225 cholla nts-online.net mirror-Smooth_J CP9OE7UFT 22 Jul 2005 Download 39 20972 kB 1982345370870 cholla nts-online.net mirror-VanBuren 8JFX5NSUI

MYRIAGON They just opened the civic center in my town to victims but I think we are about 900 miles from New Orleans so I don't know how they will get here.I don't I listen too much to the liberal media. It seems things are in gear now we will see.But there should have been military going in as soon as the weather permitted .Like the next day.& certainly some medical supplies & military doctors. If Bush did order it then there should be some court marshals over not following orders. We will see if we hear about those.I will admit I don't like Bush.

Who were you posting this too? I consider myself pretty right wing so I don't think it was me .But Bush sat on his ass on this one

MUff!N : You don't have to. Some like to test .I just wanted to know if it would work on another phone company .or if you have SBC if it would work for someone else.Since you have never used Hyperterminal to learn something new.So I guess some of the reason would be for my information. If you decide not to no problem. If you do let me know if it worked & post the results. Here are the results from a test I went & just took the graph doesn't post very well mostly th frequencies at the bottom don't -

MUff!N :I will tell you where it is in my OS.Maybe it will be similar in XP.Control Panel Add/Remove ProgramsWindows set up Communications check HyperTerminal. Then to use it you can access it from StartProgramsAccessoriesCommunicationsHyperTerminal I posted this link to a topic I made on using the HyperTerminal test it has the toll free number. http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=4277.0 I was thinking you have XP.I have ME If you have ME then the instructions will definately work. 18662936556 toll free number. btw you have to be offline to do the test since the Hyperterminal uses the same phone line as your dialup. -
Dilatedpeoples28 : I still beleive a large part of their cost for fuel is taxes .It goes for things like their socialized medicine so their other costs of living are cheaper in other areas.Someone can post the amount of Europeon tax per gallon if they know .I know it will have to be converted from liters I think.

MUff!N If Van Buren's settings fixed the problem I would stick with them. They probably are better for online gaming.I mostly web surf so the other works better fo me. Still do you have Hyperterminal? The number is toll free.I haven't been able to get someone to try it & tell me if it works for other than a SBC phoneline. If you can would you try & let me know.It won't change your settings.Mostly it will tell you your line condition Especially SNR & each drop in the graph part of the test is supposed to be a load coil on your line.I don't know your distance from the telco if under 9000 feet it doesn't matter much. -
Isn't a large part of that TAXES ? Is it 3 times the current US price About $3.00 or more a gallon? That would mean you are paying $9.00 a gallon ?If that is what you are paying you have my sympathy.

The AVG link is only for the AVG free antivirus. The one with firewall is $48.00 at least to register.I did not try to see if it worked as a trial version.Nothing at the site said it did.

Hi MUff!N : I haven't seen you post for a while. One thing you might want to do is if your dial-up ISP doesn't support (V92) features Or you don't have call waiting evn if you do have call waiting but your ISP doesn't support V92.Turn off the V92 features to scale back to V90.I have ME so I don't have the DefaultSendWindow adjustment. If you search dial-up you can find some of my tweaks & see if you can apply them to your modem in XP I think some of them will be approxamately the same. I use 1500 for my MTU,128480 for my RWIN this scales to 64240 unscaled window, Scaling on (Tcp1323Opts set to 1), &PMTUDiscovery set to 0.You can test at https://www.speedguide.net/ the tcpip analyzer it should show your unscaled window & your MTU &MSS.I like the larger RWIN it might slow your speed a little but helps large pages load better.Since the internet is geared for broadband. If you can do this test: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=4277.0 It may only work for SBC none has ever done it & posted to let me know if it worked for them or not. -
I don't have broadband, do I even belong here?
cholla replied to ncbear1976's topic in General Discussion
I have dial-up & have been a member for a while.I have posted some on dial-up tweaks. So stick around & learn what you can. -
The President needs to send the military in with any equipment they have that can help,Portable generators,Portable water purifiers,Helicopters with military food rations, medical supplies & military doctors ,etc.If the USA was invaded by a foreign nation I sure hope the President respond quicker than he has to Katrina.btw the hell with the looters help the victims.

Funny considering the serious situation of the Katrina hurricane..If the seller actually had the item the bidder could be sued if he did not pay.Of course since the seller doesn't have the item maybe he could be sued instead.
-
kol I was just trying to be funny.but you're right a mod shouldn't do what he told you not too.

dn0 :The 65 Impala was OK but the 64 Bel Air I had before it was nicer & rode better.Last of the X-frame Chevys. The Pinto ran very well it still was designed to burn leaded regular.Added some headers & a T to dual side pipes with mags & a custom painted hood & top stripe added to the Red ,white & blue Spirit of America package it already had a pretty sharp ride.
-
Some of us do it anyway.
-
The 55 was not a permant thing just for the short term.probably 3 months or less.I don't think even todays cars will get as good of milage at 65 as they do at 55 but if you can show me something that shows they do I would be happy to look at it. Btw for most of the 70's I drove a 1972 Pinto for my main car anyway which replaced my 1965 Cheverolet Impala.

FiosFiend: Our discussion is getting off topic so I will keep it short. This is a per school district breakdown of cost per year per student in Texas..Usually between 6 & 8 thousand. http://www.tlc.state.tx.us/roadmap/HB2%20Preliminary%20District%20Runs%20Feb%203.pdf I have heard about the cost of not educating. But this is still the parents responsibility & they shouldn't have children if they can't afford to raise them.Simply if it took till they were 70 to finish paying the state for their children's education that's what it would take. The children could be required to help pay once they became adults. This way they would be educated with the responsible parties paying. I do think credit companies like Visa & banks should be limited to 10% like individuals are.I have never understood why the aren't guilty of Loan Sharking. I liked your ending My Friend so I will use it too.

They should be jailed for price gouging but not the little guy who probably had no choice like the gas station. But arrest & jail some petroleum company CEO without bail. To help this the speed limit should be lowered to 55mph max until the national supply is back to normal. Not change all the signs since we would go back to 70 when we get back to normal.Just let people know & enforce it.
-
FiosFiend: well I'll agree thats what the chart says if you drive on some of the roads in my area it would make you doubt it.Really none of it should be spent for education though.
-
J_E_R_T : Van Buren can usually help tweak for speed .But he or others are going to have you do as much as you can from these 2 stickies. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-2097.0 http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-3924.0

helloimtim I've been on everyday also.Could something in your firewall gotten changed. This is also the reason I have both IE & FireFox in case there is a browser causing this problem.Unless your ISP was having problems.
-
FiosFiend :Well I guess we will have to disagree on the reason for the high gas & oil price.I suggest you track down where the money from the taxes goes.In Texas It goes for education more than roads like the car tag money does. Maybe you can explain capitalism to me start out with the reason as an individual it is illegal for me to charge more than 10% per annum on money I loan .These are called usury laws.If an individual charges over 10% he loses not only the interest but the principal. So if we live in a totally capitalistic society why can't I make all the money I can on a loan. Then explain why insider trading is illegal this in theory would be just allowing an individual or business to make as much profit as possible. Next why are monopolies illegal like what they tried to charge Bill Gates with ? How about price gouging laws Like the gas is as far as I'm concerned selling for more than it should due to the hurricane disaster. Are those enough examples of the limited capitalism in the USA or would you like more?I believe these are enough to prove the USA is not purely capitalistic.
