dn0 : Don't do the manual update I did this one time & had to uninstall AVG & reinstall it to get the automatic update to work again. It might not do the same to your system but I advise against the AVG manual update.

wingzero2309 ;I don't have a flash player installed so I couldn't veiw the video.I have a pretty good idea of the killing.I am a meat eater & have no problems about wearing furr..I do have a problem with animals being raised inhumanely like it says these rabbits are. That is the reason I will not use Wet Seal now.I don't eat veal for the same reason.I have no problem with the slaughter & consumption of an animal raised reasonably natural & slaughtered as humanely as possible.I have shot & eaten many rabbits I feel they are to prone to carry disease now so I no longer hunt & kill rabbits.

maxboost7 Unless your cap is 16Mbps then it is a cached test.I'm not saying it is intentionally cached but this is the only way that you can get that speed. If it is your cap & its 20% or so over the cap.then it is correct.I can take dialup & cache a test faster but like you say whats the point. If you don't know how to do a cached test how do you know your not doing one.

aerodude : Do the TCPIP analyzer test at the site below. https://www.speedguide.net/index.php See if your dial-up connection changed the MTU&MSS & maybe RWIN to optimize them for dialup. I don't know what faster connection you have But when connected with the faster connection your MTU &MSS Should be for cable MTU 1500 MSS 1460 for PPPoE MTU 1492 MSS 1452 There are some different settings for XP with PPPoE If thats what you have get Van Buren to help you. I'm not sure about satellite I think they're the same as cable. If these are like they should be I don't know where the slow down came from.It may be how you connected both like through a USB hub or something .

Dial-up settings by Cholla Download & install Cablenut;use the ccs file for your OS & connection. I make these adjustments to Cablenut for a custom dial-up file if it doesn't make yours work better you can use the ones that it puts in automatically. On the RWIN use the one of the settings suggested by

Hey all below is the awnser from my ISP on why my ISP doesn't allow ping for dial-up accounts.I would like some opinions on the awnser especially if you know if this is correct. But even if you don't .The ISP is nts-online.net This is their response to the question. Pinging is disabled on our Dial-up servers, due to the fact that carefully controlled and orchestrated pinging is the leading cause of a Denial of Service (DOS) attack, which causes our entire dial-up service to go down, taking all our dial-up customers with it. We feel like this is too much to risk, to allow those few people who actually do any pinging access to this.

cak46 I haven't had the chance to look around in a xp registry but I never found anything like that in 98 or ME.I had a trojan that got in with a DL called Zipitfast an unzipping program. I did some research & found that stinger would get rid of it in safe mode.Thats when I got stinger & it worked.I don't remember the name of the trojan now .

madcyborge: you can put me in your will too But your probably geeky enough to do the cryofreeze thing. I'm sure cak46 wouldn't mind me being in the will too. tdawnaz;I did some more reasearch on Betties but didn't find much just some references to the "bouncing betty" land mine it was cone shaped so it was compared to breasts. So some think betties became a slang term for breasts & this became a term for women from there. edit spelling

cak46 I didn't think it was on my ME but since I had DL a new anti spyware program I ran it anyway. It didn't find anything so I guess spybot & adaware are taking care of spyware alright for my os. Because some members were saying how good Kaspersky is I went to their site. The have a beta web search scan(this is not the same thing as their onlie scan for a single file) anyway it scans your pc for viruses like you had the Kaspersky program it just does it online.I ran it twice & it found zero viruses so I guess my AVG is finding everything.

69 rat &cak46 I put in this link http://www.enigmasoftwaregroup.com/affiliate/link.php?ref=42&productid=4 I tried it & it was a DL for Spy Hunter version 2.0.1086 the site said it would get rid of the Lsass.exe.I ran it on my OS but I do not have the Lsass.exe virus so I can't say it will remove it .It looked like just another anti spyware program to me. One thing I found said don't delete Lsass.exe from the system 32 folder

I know it says no operating system but have you tried to enter safe mode? You may not be able to but I would try.Do you have a windows start up disk? This is not the installation disk.It enters DOS & lets you work frow there. Some people even use a 98 start up disk to do this in XP.I haven't tested that but have read it works.
