tdawnaz:I am for medical marijuana as I already said.As for the bad effects of smoking it some are the same as tobacco at least Tar & just because it doesn't have nicotine it doesn't mean other compounds in it are not just as harmful & possibly carcinagenic.So it is not without risk .This is sometimes the only way a person on chemo can handle getting marijuana one of the reason they smoke it is to give them appitite so eating it is not an option. They may not be able to keep it down.I beleive it takes 5 to 10 time as much to get the effects from eatting it. On the potency of medical marijuana its THC level may be higher but they really don't know that this is the only compound in marijuana that is helping.It should be grown in a tropical climate(like Central America or South America the closer to the equator the better).Then air cured.This would produce the best & most potent.That is what they should by supplying for the medical marijuana & I beleive what they are supplying is greenhouse grown. I am goin to give some information on air curing as it applies to tobacco..If properly air curred it is much less carcinagenic this is done more in Europe & the middle east.The have less tobacco related cancer because of this.In America most tobacco is quick cured with forced air instead of natural ventilation & some sunlight.Then we add various flavoring & sugars.This is what increases the carcinagens in tobacco burnt flavoring & sugar.Thats why European cigarettes don't taste good to Americans.The point is they need to apply the slow air cure method to the medical marajuana they supply to sick people to at least make it less harmful.

what you need to do is find the information on your specific onboard display chip.If you need to disable it because it may just work as a backup if you install a video card,Some times it depends on your OS what you need to do.It can depend on you PC.So general instructions are helpful but if you want it done the correct way you need to find as much system specific information as you can & follow that.I am putting an example below it is not for your system but shows the type if information you might need to do it right. Now how can I disable my Intel 82810 on-board video? To disable the onboard video, it must be done in device manager in windows. It is disabled in system devices not in display adapters. Both of these two categories are listed in the device manager screen. You must click on the category system devices to open it up, once done it shows a lot of different items. The one you would be looking for to disable the onboard video is 82810 system and graphics controller. Highlight it so it is blue, click properties. Another screen will open up revealing two possible selections. Uncheck exists in all hardware profiles, check disable in this hardware profile, click ok, exit, unplug, install video card connect your monitor to it, reboot, let windows install generic drivers to get your new card going. What trips a lot of people up in this procedure is that there are two categories in device manager that look all most identical. The first one is under display adapters, Intel® 82810 graphics controller, you don't use this category selection. You must scroll down in device manager until you are near the bottom and then click on system devices. You will then find a listing that includes Intel 82810 system and graphics controller. Click properties, check, and uncheck boxes. The first selection I mentioned, Intel® 82810 graphics controller only has one check box, and is listed in under display adapters and can't disable the onboard graphics.----PC or in simple terms: My computer> control panel> device manager> system devices> highlight intel 82810 system and graphics controller> properties> uncheck exists in all hardware profiles> check disable> click ok> exit and shut down, unplug. Install video card, reboot. Windows will install it's generic drivers. Later use your disc to install specific drivers for card.

wingzero2309 :you're probably right on the classic windows theme .I guess he meant R.click on desktop.To bring up display properties.Still the setting he gave must be for XP I don't have it I don't use the classic anyway.

Lordzauron: The first tweak is the one I mentioned as setting the min & max the same.This is supposed to keep the swap file Or paging file depending on whether you're talking about 98 or XP a constant size.This is not supposed to be necessary in XP.& may not be in 98 or ME. But if you use this I would put at least 512MB for both.If you are not going to let Windows handle it make sure the minimum & maximum are large enough you don't get out of memory errors.I suggest 256 min & 800 max to start with If you get a memory error with that increase the minimum till you are not getting the error.I don't recomend the same size tweak. It is good to turn off your screensaver.If you have low RAM my windows doesn't have the last setting but anything that "Your screen will go a crappy grey colour" is not a good setting.

destructionfever: Looks like Van is offline .I don't use TCP optimizer just Cablenut some people say they conflict with each other .And just to use one or the other. Looks like it slowed you down I would just go back to what you had with the faster test before you used the optimizer .I think your RWIN is now correct from the test you sent me, Cablenut should have a file for your OS & connection type.

destructionfever : Van can help you more than I can but from the speed guide test results your RWIN is too small..You need to enable window scaling & use a larger RWIN.If you don't enable scaling I think your RWIN will automatically be limited to 65535 no matter how high you set it.I'm not sure XP is limited this way someone can post if that isn't correct. Use Cablenut to enable scaling & set RWIN larger .Try the 128480 suggested by the test.

Hey all:I am going back to the marijuana topic.I quit over 20 years ago but I smoked it before that.I believe it does cause the problem of apathy in the user so I wouldn't recommend it for healthy people to start.I do think it should be totally legalized for a couple of reasons.One it wasn't illegal until 1936(I think thats correct) before that anyone that wanted to smoke it.grow it.make rope out of it could.I have expressed my opinion on Constitutional law & I think the law against violates the 9th amendment.For another reason. It is said it is an entry level drug thats true in part.If it was legal then the price would be lower & it could be purchased in something like a liquor store.That would mean there would be no need for contact with a drug dealer to purchase marijuana.Then the entry level drug would be a harder drug with some greater penalty for dealing so it would take the buffer that marijuana is away from drug dealers. (The second part is sort of off topic) Of course we all know that the government doesn't really go after the top dealers .Drugs are brought into this country by the truck & ship load thats the only way the whole country can be supplied.So the small dealer they bust with even a 1000 lbs isn't a drop in the bucket.The money financing this is at a much higher level & not just the mafia.Then the money that it generates in third world countries makes the government look the other way for diplomacy.It will never be stopped from the bottom up only from the top down which is not going to happen. organ_shifter :I had tried the emulator but it made my PC act odd after so I don't use it .If I put in a second hard drive I would have a partition just for Commodore since there are so many games for it that can be DL.I like one called Death Sword .Since I still have a working Commodore 64 that takes me 5 minutes to hook up most of the time I have a Nintendo hooked up to the TV I use for video games.For those that didn't know & want to try the emmulator you can DL A lot of free games for it.

CA3LE & organ_shifter: Did either one of you ever hook Commodore 64 or 128 up to a modem?I found a 1660&1670 Commodore modem in some information I was looking at I didn't even know they made a modem that Commodore used.I used mine for games I did play some with the programing but like organ_shifter said a lot if lines to get a simple function.

I'm glad it was east of me by about 100 miles for a change.Btw I have seen a tornado on the ground at about 1 mile distance while driving down an Oklahoma highway.Oddly I've never seen one on the ground in the Texas Panhandle I've seen funnel clouds & partial drops.I've lived in the Texas panhandle all my life remember when 11 tornados were supposed to be on the ground here but they were hard to see from a storm shelter.
