billybob12345 :Glad it worked you will know for sure after a couple of reboots sometimes the virus is sneaky & can put itself back in.If it doesn't show back up then you killed it.

Can you increase my download speeds Van Buren ???
cholla replied to hanifv's topic in Make it Faster...
hanifv: I would leave the 8760 in GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize : 8760 &TCPWindowSize: 8760 & put 8760 in Default Receive Window (RWIN).Save to registry with Cablenut & reboot.Test it again. I personally like a larger RWIN I would also try this setting & see which one worked the best for you. Put 64240 in a 3 settings in Cablenut save & reboot. Edit Van Buren said to leave the Default Receive Window blank so try it both ways with & without a setting. The speed test will tell you which works best. -

This is the test on my OS notice the difference in the Default Receive Window (RWIN). TCP options string = 020405b40103030101010402 MTU = 1500 MTU is fully optimized for broadband. MSS = 1460 Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS. Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 128480 RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 1 bits (scale factor of 2) Unscaled Receive Window = 64240 RWIN is a multiple of MSS Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS: 513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4) 64240 (MSS x 44) bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test): Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5139.2 kbps (642.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2055.68 kbps (256.96 KBytes/s) @ 500ms MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON Time to live left = 118 hops TTL value is ok. Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 01011100 (92) Precedence (priority) = 010 (immediate) Delay = 1 (low delay) Throughput = 1 (high throughput) Reliability = 1 (high reliability) Cost = 0 (normal cost) Check bit = 0 (correct, 8th checking bit must be zero) DiffServ (RFC 2474) = No valid DiffServ equivalent. See RFCs 2474, 2475, 2597, 2598, 2873. -
dn0: The dos scan looks interesting I have never had to do this but I am glad to know about it. The Stinger is a McAfee software If you don't have it its a pretty good addition.I did several things when I had a diffucult virus I think it might have been what actually removed it .Done in safe mode.

cholla replied to hanifv's topic in Make it Faster...
hanifv: Try Van Burens file I couldn't read it but it will probably give you a different RWIN. The one you now have is too small so run the TCPIP analyzer again after you install Van Burens file. -
I agree with dn0 on disabling the system restore when you do this.

billybob12345: I definately agree with FallowEarth on the software firewall if you don't have one. This link he provided is a way to manually remove it if the safe mode methods don't fix it.http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/pest/pest.aspx?id=453076206 Thats not the first thing I would try though. Since it looks like it could be spyware I would add running ad aware in safe mode too since I see you have it.Also you might try CW Shredder . It looks like this might be in a file for user ryan S that was in the screen shot if that makes sense to you.You might do his user logon to see if the virus would remove that way. And I wouldn't try to remove & reinstall AVG now I don't think it has a problem after seeing the screen shot.Do the rest in safe mode.

hanifv: Run the TCPIP analyzer test here & post the results.Although you use a cable your connection looks like dialup.Do you know which it is? https://www.speedguide.net/ -
billybob12345: I didn't see a screen shot but I have a couple of suggestions.First run your AVG from safe mode .see if that corrects the problem. You need to get an antivirus program called Stinger it doesn't run all the time only when you manually run it.Save it in its own file in Windows. Go to safe mode & run Stinger then run AVG & see if the Virus is gone this worked for me on a virus AVG wouldn't remove in normal. While in safe mode you might as well run your anti spyware program too. then reboot. This is a link for Stinger if you need it. http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

weird problem everything was working but
cholla replied to sac-o-beef's topic in Networking and Hardware
sac-o-beef: I'm just going to guess I think you were fine until you " went to a restore point" I think that put you where you were before you did all the other .Try to go to restore & undo the restore you did last. -
any one that speaks spanish or is from Cuba...we need you
cholla replied to tdawnaz's topic in HughesNet (DIRECWAY)
I think your right about the FCC requirements for a licensed installer. But if I understood the translation the guy took his dish to Cuba & the FCC has no jurisdiction there.I guess Castro could cut his head off for adjusting his own dish. -
I agree with that. On the defination they kind of said it was both. The experience of MJ led to harder drugs & the connections made with dealers led to using harder drugs.

php I DL the program but I got what I expected everything timed out.My ISP blocks ping & tracert.I learned to do them from msdos when I had another ISP.I thought I would give it a try anyway.

What is a good cache limit for firefox in KB?
cholla replied to destructionfever's topic in General Discussion
I just left mine like it installed 50000 KB I guess thats the default.I haven't had any problems with that. -
The reason that marijuana is called a gateway drug is the drug dealer one is buying the marijuana from is selling other drugs. So it is a gateway connection to the harder drugs. If selling it was legalized then it would be purchased in a store like a liquor store & the gateway would be gone. That would be for complete legalization. If it was just for medical I assume it would be bought from a pharmacy & people would grow their own.

humorman;organ_shifter;jypagan; I'm sure all of your efforts in translating the PM are appreciated. php your probably right he tried to install the dish himself.I haven't tried a internet receiving dish but I did move my DSS type dish for TV.I understand it is very important to get everything exactly level so thats what I did.Maybe he didn't to my understanding a crooked mounting pole would throw all 3 angles off enough to cause poor reception if you could connect at all. -
Aggr3: Thanks I went to foxy84 but it had hidden email so I couldn't compare it to upset_person who does have an email address.I should have known how now i do.
-
Hey all I tried to search foxy84 so I could look to see if the profile was the same as upset_person.I couldnt find any posts he made so I could check his profile.I guess he just harassed by PM I didn't get one.If thats what he was about he should have been banned. I know how to check member stats but is there a way to check a profile on a member that doesn't have any posts? I haven't needed to do this before there usually not much reason to check out someone that doesn't post.I was just going to see if the email given was the same for foxy84 & upset_person.btw I don't intend to email him .

tdawnaz: Now that its been translated maybe it should be posted in a new topic. That relates to the questions asked. It might have to be translated back into Spanish though but maybe unknown27 reads English.Or I guess it could be translated & sent to him by PM.Anyway I think a new topic would be a good idea. -
helloimtim: Thats probably one of the problems there isn't a quick test for marijuana like alcohol maybe if there was they would make it legal.I will state this I do not intend to start smoking it again even if it becomes legal.Unless heaven forbid I get a terminal illness that it will help.I beleive it causes apathy in a regular marijuana smoker . I will ask you did you read the link on the ninth amendment? The government is getting by with making choices for us but it is unConstitutional.
-
Hi paladin ;Thanks for the cheer .Being as peepnklown is waxing philisophic I will do a little of the same. Marajuana grows from a seed therefore God intended for it to grow & be used by mankind. No different than wheat or cotton put here for us to use as we need to.To make rope or use as medicine. Therefore when the government makes laws against it they go against the will of God. peepnklown: If you think it goes beyond Constitutional law you should read the 9th amendment not the interpretation by the Supreme Court. It basically says we are free to do anything that doesn't interfere with anothers right to do the same.Did you read the link I put in about the ninth amendment?

Stop telemarketers: National Do Not Call List
cholla replied to cholla's topic in General Discussion
I don't remember if there was a waiting period it seemed to help almost imediatly for me. I think you have to renew it like every 5 years or something like that. I did it on my cell too -
Hey all; wingzero2309 said he was having a problem with telemarketers.I thought some other members might be to.You may have already done this but if you haven't it sure worked for me. I now get almost no calls. There are a few loopholes so you get a call once in a while. This is the link for the national registry: http://www.ftc.gov/donotcall/ My state has one also so check to see if your state does.I registered at both.
