    Firefox Extensions Problem

That's odd. Try including the wildcard * after it. Like this: addons.mozilla.org* Then close all Firefox windows then reopen and try loading an extension again..

    Firefox Extensions Problem

You need to add addons.mozilla.org to the allowed sites list. Go Tools > Options > Content.... Look at picture below:
  6. Scumbucketsex - Open command prompt and type: netstat -b Post info back here, you may want to omit your computer name and IP address before you post here. This might tell us if there is some other connection to your computer that you are unaware of. Again, block your PC name and private IP add before you post (for security reasons, never know who is watching).
  7. Yeah, I know, for some reason I get my full speed when my NIC is set to 100mbps half duplex. It is unstable when set to auto or full duplex, so I just left it at half duplex and have not yet continued troubleshooting. Hey scumbucketsex (lol), try VanBuren's mirror in Stockholm: http://www.testmy.net/o-mirror-VanBuren
  8. It worked the first time I tried it, now somethings up on their end, sorry. Takes far too long to perform inbound test, let me see if I can find a different one. 9. Try this NDT speedtest located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is on your side of the puddle, see if you get better results. http://cemp1.switch.ch/network/performance/web100/tcpbw100.html Post speed results back here.
  10. Looks like the latency is just the hop from London to Dallas -> Testmy.net. Do you have any P2P apps such as bittorent running? With a slower connection, that can affect speeds significantly.
  11. The hotties will flock to your side Took me a minute to read the time on the 2 watches in the picture. (10:15 if I'm not a total idiot).
  12. Welcome to the forum. Download CableNut here: http://www.cablenut.com/ Then download VanBuren's latest ccs files from here: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=10720.0 Restart your computer after the CableNut change then re-test your speed. I attached Van's ccs file below that should work for your connection, give it a try. edit: add speeds since that's what this topic is about - still consistently good.. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 4345 Kbps about 4.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 530 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server2) Test Time:: Sat Feb 04 2006 19:59:59 GMT-0600 (Central Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 78X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.93 sec Diagnosis: Looks Great : 5.72 % faster than the average for host (cox.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-5NY872PK3 :::.. 13. You need to host the picture or graphic somewhere. I created a free photobucket.com account and host images there. Below is an example that I made so you can see the code. You would type your code linking to your image into the signature box in your profile.
  14. Hey destruction, my roomate bought that 52" RCA about 1.5 weeks ago from BestBuy for $800. I gave him some crap for buying RCA since they are notoriously not the best, but the price was right. I am now happy he got it for the living room, pictures are great. It is only a monitor and does NOT have HDMI inputs, but none the less, component hook up looks quite nice. Still need to go buy DVI cable and see how much improvement that will make. It is optimum at 480p resolution, not 1080i which is a con, but still HD looks pretty damn nice. Gotta love Discovery High Def - the jungle bush women's low saggers look great in HD LOL. So I will give the RCA 52" a thumbs up because the price is right, from personal experience.
  15. Welcome to the forum banjirian There is alot of great info here. If you have any questions or need help with anything just ask.
  16. :haha: comp - how 'bout a link to the main page? edit: he was talking about me!!!! yeah that's the ticket. edit2: found it. go here: http://www.cnn.com/video/ Then click "British MP rips Bush" under world. Does anyone know how to link to those javascript links like compuworm was trying?
  17. LOL I can see now: Worm Hole Wireless, INC. Why just surf when you can time travel? I would consider switching if that was availabe.
  18. That sounds correct. Yes the cable for the modem is the same as the TV cable. Look at the attached (poorly made with MS Paint) diagram. Is it wired similarly? The 2-way should be first, then one leg feeds the modem and the other feeds the 4-way going to the TVs. edit: updated diagram
  19. Below is an example of a 2, 3 and 4 way splitter. There is also an eight way. (most common types) I am wondering what size and how many you have in line between the from the back of your home up to the back of the modem. Each splitter port has a certain signal loss; the fewer splitters, the better. You may have too many in line and a simple re-configuration of the splits may help you out.
  20. Your downstream level is on the low side (-11dBmV) although this isn't always a problem. An increase in downstream power would most likely give you a better SNR (which is at the minimum level now). How many splitters and what type(2 way, 3way, etc.) do you have between the pole or box outside and your cable modem in the house?
  21. Actually the downstream range in the Docsis protocol can be anywhere from 88-860MHz. The ISP can pick and choose in that range. You are correct on the SNR - about 29dB minimum in 64QAM and 32 minimum in 256QAM modulation. The operational range is technically -10dBmV to +10dBmV. (-5 to +5dB would give you better overhead all the way around). asubaseball727, are you going to post your levels from the diagnostic page?
  22. Nice - I need that. Good find. I have a folding dysfunction order of some type. I could not fold anything nicely to save my life. Saving the link now....
  23. Is it your router? If so then you would have set the password when setting it up. Otherwise I believe the default username is admin and default password is admin. (if this is the case, then you need to set your own unique password for security) Try that-
  24. It depends on what router you have. Read the link below; they have tips for most situations: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/tweaks/3.%20Becoming%20Pingable
