As to his previous posts, he lives in Arizona. Only his server is in Texas. So maybe you need to tweak yours more.

Tim all I can tell you (since U/L is so hard to cheat on) is Truckinslim was getting 500+/500+ on a consumer plan. several tried to refute it. Myself included and to no avail. So yes with the proper things in order yes. I at one time was getting over 2800 D/L consistently. And boy did this make Bird Fan i even pulled over 5000 once. But you know what, I did get those speeds. So I started having to test with the 12K test just to make him happy [and I was still pulling over 1800]. You know what else? No one else would test with the 12K also. So I was singled out. If he can get them, I don't care enough to argue with what I am not sitting in front of in the first place just to try and call him a liar. No anger, just facts. Really just explaining my point of view on satelite inconsistencies. Some people just get too upset over nothing. If they want you to help, I assume they will ask. Otherwise, unless it is unreal... why bother. Oh short answer, yes it is quite possible to even be faster on a consumer plan. Also remember I am on the 500/50 And I seldom get my U/L. Also if I remember right, ghostmaster and the rest are on the 200U/L package. But they all are over on their U/L. -

It's a shame McAfee and Symantec were allowed to get so big that they even have a word in what is secure in the first place. It's not like they are all that good anyway. Maybe I missed it but that was a joke, right? And when I clicked on Opertating system it was like ready to D/L? -

Real nice speeds there. Congradulations. -
Dang, I wonder if I can get skyband. That would almost make satelite worth it. How much do you pay?? Is there any fap How is the Up load If this is not an advertisement, it should be. I so want to check it out. My dway contract is up in Dec. for sure. I would almost be willing if it was not to expensive.

Try testing with the 2992 file test. If you really want to test it here. And clean out your temp files before testing as it will take you directly into the test. http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=5983&st=st That will definatley put your speeds into perspective. -
You are very ornery grandpa. Hey 6000's are OK. We just don't have any upload.

Oh yeah, you can pay for more. If I personally had to pay more for what they offer @ the price they want, I would probably just up and go full T-1. Hands down. 1500/1500 would beat the crap out what Hughes has. And no sat problems. Totally dedicated to ME! And I believe the last quote from a year ago was like $400+ a month. -

Some guys just get lucky. At least he was testing at TMN. -
It probably would have worked better if it was a different account than my main and only one. Now if I would use 2 e-mail accounts, maybe this winter when I get bored...
-
Not to totally burst your bubble, but... I once was told you could make money just filling out stuff like that. Guess what I got for my troubles! LOTS and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of unwanted e-mail. I thought it would never end. It took like 3 months for it to slow down finally.

Well he got 10 posts out of it.

A shame the tip reduction did not work. Truly precious shug. Loved it. With more spare time, and a few less years I would try that myself. -
Welcome to the forum Have you read: Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257 Also have you tweaked your connection with a Optimizer etc... Assuming it is like Dway: Have you restarted your modem lately? Have you made sure your system is properly grounded? What is your signal strength? (probably won't matter) Are there any trees that could possibly be blocking the signal? Have you checked with your ISP to make sure it is properly configured in your internet options? Last question, did you really say "8mb" On satelite? Like Christopher said, test at a different time of day. Very early or late. Not during congestion. Also do not test with the smart test, test with the 2992 file test, it should give you much more accurate results.

Well I found out many years ago, that competition should not mean enemies. Competition should simply mean a challenge. By challenging you are creating a need to be watched. There by increasing your public exposure. Free advertising. Don't you think Intel and AMD should not get along? Of course they should, they are helping each other. Just like FORD, Chevy, and Dodge got along all those years. They worked togather to keep out foreign auto's. It worked for quite awhile. But it simply got too expensive. People create the competition. Not companies. -

Except that one guy that was getting 500+Up & Down. His name was...truckinslim. That was weird too. But he must have had the best U/L on Dway to date. -
It does sound pretty dumb, to keep making any, with out them.
