Hey steverc ...welcome....you running a 4000 or 6000??

NO problem....you're always free to ask...

If you try running a tracert to both sites you'll see the lag time..

the test can only read and calculate what YOUR speed really is...if you are in the UK ...a site in Europe will be faster..due to the distance involved...and the number of hubs and routers your handed through.

I don't understand the question....what do you mean only reognizes 1.5 mb??? Are you refering to your speed being slow....or the % of host statment??

amkazen Hey welcome to the forum.. In response to your question....yes there is a big difference between the two systems. The 4000 on average runs about twice as fast as the 6000. Uploads run very close but the downloads don't compare. The 6000 has an internal processor which CAN BE controlled by Dway...where as the 4000 does not. The internal software (sent by Dway through your sat connection) is the limiting factor here. Hope this helps to clear it up...if you have more questions....just ask....someone will answer you..

I can't say for sure....the DW4000 is a two way that use to need a phone line for initial setup only...but I understand the latest software release did away with that. I still have one of those. There's also a 4020 and some 3000 series. I'm not familiar with those but some did use phone line for upload and sat for download..

itfchaos ..welcome to the forum......if it's a working 4000....take it hands down.. If you look through this forum you'll find that the 4000's are almost twice as fast....both sux on upload ...but they don't compare on download..
