I am using Azureus 2.3.0.4 (the latest version) and it uses 80mb of memory.. Nevertheless, I like it and I'm gonna continue using it
-
Its very true that Azureus uses a lot of system resources (mine went up to 80mb of memory usage).. I have never tried BitTornado, but I may just try it.. Azureus has a lot of features and it is made in Java and that is why it uses that much memory..

And I thought 15000 members is gonna be before 15001, but now its after 14999? lol -
Did you scan for spyware already with programs such as Ad-aware and Spybot Search and Destroy? If you do a scan with hijackthis program, could you post it in here, so we can eliminate the possibility that spyware is causing these fluctuating speeds..

Advantages of an isdn Line over normal dsl.

If that is not 144Mbits/144Mbits, then I wouldn't get it.. And 130$/month seems like a very high price for a dedicated line with speeds that low.. -
Even if it did, it would be so slow
-
P3's are 32bit.. Obviously its not going to work..

If the Halt is not on, try going into Network Security -> Personal Firewall -> *Choose your connection or click on the one that is chosen right now and click on Edit afterwards* -> In the connection profile window, go into the Exceptions List tab and make sure Internet Explorer has a check mark beside it.. It should be enabled by default and its a bit of a long shot, but it doesn't hurt to try

This will be great for school projects or just reading for fun .. That GPS is so huge though.. I don't know if anyone carried it with them on mountain trips or anything.. lol -
Not quite.. While DC++ is still good, you have to connect to different servers to get the most content (which is almost the same with Shareaza (i dont know about Limewire), but in DC++ you have to choose your own servers - either search for them or join random ones and that is different from the automatic server search of Shareaza).. Secondly, you connect to only one person in DC++ therefore maybe not using all of your download speed if the other person has a slower connection (or a low uploading speed).. Limewire like Shareaza and other programs connects to multiple peers, therefore increasing download speed

597$ profit x 1 000 000 chips sold at least = 597 mil $$ .. wow.. and it all comes down to a chip they spent 40$ on..
-
Just got another dedicated server!

Pretty nice specs the server has .. And the 1000GB traffic/month doesn't sound too bad -
Amd makes their chips for 20$, Intel for 21$ .. But Intel sells some of them for 300$ more than AMD.. And those 20$ AMD chips are Athlon.. Wish I worked in the factory ..
-
Anyone got any info on AMD chip manufacturing cost? I would like to see which one costs more to manufacture.. My P4 runs good for its manufacturing price of 40$$

That's true..

FF is not only better for its security features.. Its got different themes available from its website, tabbed browsing (which IE7 has too) and many other little things that make it the best browser for today

With the small size test file, I got 300kbits/sec more than the 14mb test file.. I don't know why, but with the 14mb file, the download speed fluctuates from time to time (every 9-10 seconds or so) and therefore the connection speed detected drops in size too.. I'll stick with testmy.net.. At least it gets it within 100kbits of my connection every time -
You never hear about IE patches, cuz there are too many security issues.. It would take a couple of hours at least to fix them all (download and install patches).. So far, FF is better for me and I hope ppl don't make other exploits for it

raptors892004 replied to ExTrem3 Gam3r 43's topic in General Discussion
It was a little bit off, so am happy to say I prefer testmy.net!! .. It gave me a speed of 2.64Mbits/sec on the 3mb file and 2.34 on the 14mb file, which were off by 200-600kbits off the speeds I get on testmy.net.. Pretty good tester, but its just not testmy.net -
That's going to be good for games.. Good luck with that :haha: :haha: :haha:
