  8. after win vista comes out, i think it will be at least 2 more years before people start massively switching over - remember ! there are still very little applications that are made to benefit from 64bit computing

  14. ok i know this sounds funny, but it helps......if you're running the coaxial cable that goes into ur modem through a splitter or some kind of an adapter, replace it....especially if you're running it through a low quality cox splitter (they're known to create issues) - replace it, or connect it directly to your modem without splitting it into your tv or something.....ur speeds are bound to return to normal
  15. the last computer ive sold was at 4.6 and running 100% stable .... it had a custom made water cooling system and it had more potential, but i wanted to sell it totally stable without it freezing up
  16. ppl.....if you get the bad checksum error try a DIFFERENT mirror for updates thats all it takes
  17. ofcourse you can...apache is a web server....so ud need some kind of "software" to aid you in that....most linux distributions are already equiped with them - its not really worth running it off of your computer though...too slow

  19. im sorry to inform you but sempron's are not s***** processors.....people mostly make those assumptions and say that on the basis that they heard it from someone else....i've built exactly 7 systems with a 2400+ sempron in them (operates only at 1.75ghz) and honestly they perform great.......its not a prize winning processor, but it performed anything i wanted it to do without any trouble im sure there are many ppl out here that will support this fact...you just have to give a processor a try - this one just happens to be very good

  23. i think i might buy one of these for myself too......i dont know why ppl are so down on celerons LOL its a 119 dollar computer for christs sake
  24. celerons run just fine....its not a performance machine, but it runs what needs to be run
