  8. I think my stepfather had the same problem with a barebone pc he got..All the speeds were way off... He flashed the bios, and that cured the problem.... You said you tried to flash your bios...Did you ever succeed? What file error were you getting? Have you run a benchmark utility, that will give you your pc specs..maybe bios info is incorrect.. http://www.pcpitstop.com -- That test will give you your processor speed, etc... If you have run it in the past, you should have an idea on whether or not its drastically differrent..
  9. usually either admin/admin or admin/password
  10. Your PC/Workstation has a 998.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 57.84 Mbps http://miranda.ctd.anl.gov:7123/ --from the miranda site.. Just wondering if anyone knows where this 998.0 KByte buffer can be adjusted? I've adjusted all buffers I know of, yet cannot get that number to change...
  11. Texas Instruments.... Have no idea what it was, just remember the programs you could make with it....lol There was no windows...still a sperm looking for an egg at that point..
  12. Have you looked to see if your network adapter has buffer settings... If you go to the network icon, right click/properties/configure/advanced, see if you have any settings for 'Number of Receive Buffers', and 'Number of Transmit Buffers'... Mine is set at 50 by default, I have it set at 60/70 (receive/transmit)...Bascially just screwing around trying to see what works...I'm gonna crank it way up now and see what happens.. . See if your nic card has those settings...And if so..Tweak Away!

  19. Do you have another PC, to test that monitor on? If you have more than one memory stick in the pc, take one out, and test with one, swap etc...Maybe one chip went bad... Power it down, and remove power cable from it and let it sit... Feel the heatsink and see how hot it is...(make sure the fan is spinning when you power it back up) (Perhaps the processor fan went)

  23. I'm not sure i'm correct, but I think that value is the same as the MaxHashTableSize...But I could be totally wrong..I need someone to confirm or deny this...Vanburen is this true? I would think think the machine sending the data, would need the larger buffer..But again, I'm not sure..
