  10. ok coknuck and zal, i got it, special thanks for the links and then again to coknuck because he sparked my interest into getting malwarebytes working right. i had to for some reason uninstall and reinstall it and reboot, then scan again and it found and deleted everything. Thanks guys. just as a warning, those IQ tests on facebook...dont click them....thats how this got started.
  11. malwarebytes did nothing. which suprised me actually. oddly enough i think i just found the way to get rid of it....i'll post back later after i've tried and how i do it
  12. ok little more info here. it is in the C:/program files folder, and doesnt show up in add/remove programs, wont get detected by any scans i do except one, and when i try to delete it it says it cant be deleted...and i tried to go into the folder myself and hit the untinstall button but it brings an error up. then tried deleting the whole damn folder....doesnt work either...even when i go into task manager and end all processes to due with this thing.
  13. so i have a computer that a popup was clicked on and now there is a folder in the C:/program files folder called personal antivirus, which keeps popping up in my real antivirus program. its a trojan as i've researched it on the web with no luck as to getting rid of it...any ideas? perhaps i should give killbox a go?
  14. tried, it still said unrecognized and now when i install the driver it says there is a "dialog box error" so the install program crashes...
  15. ok i got the belkin usb adapter (model name is in title) and it said the drivers were installed correctly, but the light on the usb adapter wont turn on and windows keeps saying its not recognized. any ideas?
  16. acer probably doesnt have dual hard drives probably just one disc partitioned into two peices. most laptops do that...there is also a hidden partition probably about 5 gigs or so in size... its a hidden partition so unless you used bot and nuke or went into some great detail to delete every partition (formatting alone wont show it most of the time) its still there. it has all of your recovery information on it.
  17. well here is one question, why do you need 4gb of ram...unless your doing video editing 3 is probably more than plenty. you wont tell much of a difference from 3 to 4gb. and if you have 32 bit operating system not 63bit i dont think you can utilize all 4 anyways. but as far as a good/decent gaming grapihcs card and has HD output. here ya go: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121300 its nvidia, i could find you a ATI but i prefer nvidia. any other parts you want help finding? and if you dont like that graphics card i can certainly find you another one
  18. newegg.com tigerdirect.com couple others, just post up some ideas what you want it for and we can also help pick things out. just give us a idea what its used for and a budget

  20. there are tons of guides and things on this very site to make your connection faster such as: Here and Here and there are plenty more. i am on my ps3 so i cant post much because its kind of time consuming, but let me know if that works or not and i'll post up more stuff.
