  1. you need to put into consideration that the speeds that are usually recorded on the speedtest are just burst speed.. you will notice that after a period of 30 seconds to 1 minute the download speed will go back to not greater than 400kbps..
  2. then there must be something wrong along the lines... maybe the line is too noisy.. (ethernet cables) try changing the Ethernet cables if your connecting through a router..
  3. no matter how you tweak if your connection to the cell site is poor (low RSSI high jitter) then no tweaks can help you.. kindly have your canopy realigned.. the tweaks are used to enhance your current connection speed and not to fix the poor connectivity.
  4. it's not with the ultra surf.. it's with your internet connection.. if after you removed ultra surf and still you can't browse then probably it's with the way how your connection is setup and not with ultrasurf. don't wait.. hehe. get the canopy.. put it on the rooftop of your new address. point it to any smart cellsite near your place.. access the canopy, configure the color code... and your all set.. you'll just have to call smartbro and have your connection reactivated..
  5. if you will change the proxy on your browser make sure the ultra surf is running.. coz the changes you making on your browser actually points to ultra surf.. so if ultra surf is not running then it's pointing on nothing, causing failure on your internet connection.. try turning off your ultra surf and surf the net, if it's fast then its confirmed that its the ultra surf that has problems.. but if the result is still the same then it's probably due to your internet connection. so far, i never had problems with ultra surf..
  6. it's beyond comparison.. how i wish i get atleast an mbps on our connection.. anyways.. we are talking of kbps here. so slowdown is really noticeable.
  7. thanks and with regards to autorun.. upon checking on the options i don't see anything that will set it to auto run. I think this is a good thing though... this is a sign that it doesn't have any underground movement. coz setting it to autorun is actually adding some lines in the registry.. after all once you clicked on it, it will run... and you are set.. since this is a stand alone i suggest that you place the original EXE file somewhere on c: then create a shortcut on your desktop or quicklinks so as not to worry of having the file getting deleted. thank you coolbuster
  8. i got 3 sisters, a mother, and a niece, and I always thank God for they are all healthy. I just clicked!
  9. lol.. you got a point, but some agents are really good in reading scripts then it's okay with me
  10. try the 10.0.0.2 for the IP and 255.0.0.0 for the subnet.. after that open command prompt and type arp -a if it gives you ip address type it on the browser
  11. if you won't pay the bill and have your line disconnected that way, you will be nagged with letters threatening you about some lawsuit.. the best way to terminate your subscription is to go to the smart wireless center and file it there.. of course they will tell you that you have to pay and if you wont pay you will be filled a case... that's the time you "act" mad and tell them that if they will file a case you will file a counter lawsuit as well.. "breach of contract" you signed a contract with an agreement that you will be paying 999 pesos a month with a lock-in period of 1 year for a specific service, in this case an internet connection... you complied on the deal.. while the company didn't. so who's breaking the rules now?. plain and simple.. and if this thing gets serious remember that you're not the only one.. several people has the same problem, and this people are willing to testify.. that's what i did..
  12. i have reasons to believe that generalizing smartbro's CS is not a good idea.. there are few good people left out there.
  13. does anybody knows how to enable network neighborhood?
  14. the least thing you can do is call them *1888 and ask for a rebate.. i used to get rebates when i call them and demand for a refund for the service that is unacceptable. It is a part of our CONSUMER RIGHTS.. and this is a breach of contract. they were not able to provide the service that was expected from them, so if you will get somewhere near serious then that's the right case to file.
  15. yes with regards to compatibility there's no present issues.. with regards to that black hole router thing.. it's true, somehow it will affect your speed by 0.1%. if i were you i'll just leave it alone..
  16. you might want to reconsider... in order to give contrast it would be beneficiary if you will elaborate on this case so as coolbuster will be able to decide well..
  17. no worries that's what friends are for.
  18. I used to work as a Tech Support for HP though though i was assigned on printers but i was able to use the laptops.. and it's good.. Lenovo is a good choice too, though it's quite expensive.
  19. i recently downloaded SP3 and installed it on my PC.. and it's working great!
  20. could be. try going to the control panel.. and go to sounds and audio devices
  21. nope it doesn't. it monitors the connection that is going in and out from your pc... but it doesn't influence it... it's like a security guard.. looking at the passersby.
