Try this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102002 That's 12 PixelPipelines. Perfect for today's games/apps, and supports current technology.

Yeah, you can set up three defragment methods. Primary Defragmentation Job Properties Secondary Defragmentation Job Properties I-FAAST Defragmentation Job Properties I have them set up to run on a schedule, and my drives stay in perfect order. It runs during games and all. Slow down isn't noticable too much at all. Enabling I/O Smart will stop the defrag or cause it to run on very low computer usage.

I know you can get 1% out of your rig Disturbed. That's still a great score. It seems that the only thing holding you back is a graphics card. You'd hit 1% as well. I wonder why it's reading your GPU RAM incorrectly. 1GB or better will definitely take you to the top 5% or higher. My Game Advisor Score

It's perfectly fine. Although the version on Windows is a little watered down compared to 3rd party solutions. I like Diskeeper 10 Professional Version: 10.0.593.0. It works very well. See the screen for a good look at it.

Yep, that made a big difference. Went from 9% to 1%. Very nice.

If it must be AGP, and you want the fastest speed from that interface, get the following card: ATI Radeon X850XT PE 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 VIVO AGP 4X/8X Video Card The BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC card has a nice overclock (only 128MB GDDR3), but still falls short of the Radeon X850XT PE (true 256MB GDDR3), and it hasn't even been OC'd yet. It's the best bang for your buck AGP wise. It can run all of todays games at maximum resolution.

NOD32 fell off long time ago. I haven't used it in quite some time. Its overall detection isn't all that great either. F-Secure would be my next choice after Kaspersky.

If you wait a couple of weeks, ATI's R580 core will rule anything on the market. Right now, the ATI Radeon X1800XT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 will give you the same performance as the the 7800GTX (even better in some cases), but for a far better price. It also runs in Crossfire mode (dual GPU's). Check it here: ATI Radeon X1800XT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3

Not sure. I haven't been to the forums in quite some time. Will check tonight. Kaspersky Labs Forum - KISKAV 2006 beta

Yeah, Sygate was a favorite of mine as well. I don't touch anything developed/purchased by Symantec. I even gave up Partition Magic for Paragon Partition Manager.

You should be using Kaspersky Personal Pro. It gives the best protection IMO. It's an Anit-Virus solution with some network protection. Get a seperate firewall. I run a hardware firewall along with Lavasoft Personal Firewall ver. 1.0.543.5722 (433)

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro 5.0.390 for now. Waiting for the full release of KIS2006 or KAV2006.

Wouldn't any new shipments of Xbox360's actually be revisions having corrected the small overheating issue? I call it small because the percentage of consumers that experienced overheating is very low compared to the record breaking amount of 360's sold.

Cyber Security Bulletin 2005 Summary

You got that right. No matter what, Microsoft will always be on the receiving end of BS. I will continue to use Windows as my main OS, and IE will always be my browser of choice. Gotta love when stats are taken and then put up for all to see. MS is not bad at all, and I think they did very well in comparison to Unix/Linux systems. -
- THE US Department of Defense has revealed plans to develop a lie detector that can be used without the subject knowing they are being assessed. The Remote Personnel Assessment (RPA) device will also be used to pinpoint fighters hiding in a combat zone, or even to spot signs of stress that might mark someone out as a terrorist or suicide bomber. In a call for proposals on a DoD website, contractors are being given until 13 January to suggest ways to develop the RPA, which will use microwave or laser beams reflected off a subject's skin to assess various physiological parameters without the need for wires or skin contacts. - More here: TestMy.net's In the News

Get it here: DAEMON TOOLS V4.0.3 Has anyone tried this x64 version or the previous one from 11-26-2005? I'm thinking about partitioning my drive for Windows Vista x64 or Windows XP x64 Edition to see how it performs, but I just wanted a little insight first. I'm not sure if it'll work on Vista at all.

Below 15ms is fantastic, at least in any online games I play.
