That seems more accurate. It's not that you got over 3MB that made it look cached. It's that you posted 2MB over the highest plan they offer. If you can get anywhere from 3MB - 6MB, the last posted results fit your connection better. You may even get over 6MB sometimes (if that's how they run their service), but I highly doubt 8MB. The first test through AOL's software is far fetched.

No doubt about that. There is no way that a 3MB line will deliver an 8MB result unless it's cached. Something is wrong. You should create your own LAN or High Speed Internet (see pic). If you already have one, you should be able to connect to the internet without using AOL's software which would in turn give you correct results.

As far as I've seen, OCZ Technology has the best performing/overclocking memory available to consumers. It beat out all competitors on several benchmarks. It would allow an enthusiast to post scores when the competition would give out. Memory here: OCZ Technology

I'm not a console fan at all really, but I always like to check out new technology. I won't be touching the PS3 with a 10 foot pole though. I've heard that Sony's online game trailers from their presentation were enhanced to look way better than what they really are. Word is that the Xbox 360 is going to blow the PS3 away. All of those cell processors boasted by Sony are going to end up being a let down.

What Cablenut settings are you guys using for 8000/768? I have the upgrade also, but was looking for a little more speed. I don't have any Cablenut settings applied right now. It seems that MidPoint Software has been exhausted. Intergate seems to be a lot more flexible. I've used it in the past (2004), and my downloads improved significantly. The customization is better overall. IMO. I only used it as a trial version though. It was cleaner than MidPoint's offering. Check it out here: Vicomsoft InterGate EDIT: Connection Teaming allows you to combine multiple connections of any type.

Oh, ok, under $400 now. I'd definitely go with something 64 Bit. You can get a great socket 939 board/processor for that price. Let me look around those sites...brb. EDIT: Hey Pit, are you trying to get a barebone with MB, CPU, HD...etc? Or do you have a case and just want the MB & CPU?
