Digital Cable Box?
organ_shifter replied to pitbull481's topic in XFINITY (Comcast Cable Communications)
Which box do you have? This is the one I have: Motorola Dual-Tuner DVR High-Definition Set-Top DCT6412 I don't even have DVR service, but that's the box I requested. They gave it to me without any problems. Being that you have more than one box, it's only $5 additional per unit. This is the best box Comcast offers in my area. If this is the box you have, you can subscribe to the DVR service. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they run a credit check to determine if you will need to put down a deposit or not. The DVR service should only be $9.95 monthly. The box is ready to go upon connection. An integrated 120 GB hard drive lets you record up to an estimated 90 hours of standard digital TV or 12 -

Windows Vista Build 5231 has surfaced on the web. The new build includes Windows Media Player 11. View the screenshots below! This is a Main branch build that was released on September 12th, 2005 at 8:20PM. Windows Media Center looks to be getting a major overhaul with an entire new interface. Other minor tweaks to the properties of controls panels are also very visable. It's not my system. I found this info while surfing.

I'm don't hate just to be a mean person, but I do hate FF as a browser. It's just wack to me. I cannot see the appeal at all. It has no significant advantage over IE6/7 that makes it prevalent enough to sway my decision in the slightest.

Tried it. Hated it. Trashed it.

If you still can't remove the file(s), try this small, effective program called "MoveOnBoot". It free & does the trick.

Just as you stated Netmasta, I get that message whenever I have a non-bootable floppy in the drive. You may want to try holding F8 as the system tries to start. If you can get to the additional boot options menu, start with the last known configuration settings that worked.

Spread FF got hacked...read on:
organ_shifter replied to Indestructable's topic in General Discussion
No matter how you slice it, the attempt was a successful shot taken at Firefox and it caused an affiliated (Spread Firefox) server to go down. Unknown attackers gained access. The target that is worn by FF is getting bigger by the hour. Pretty soon, it'll be so easy to hit that the false security that users think they have will be exposed for what it really is. How often will they want to do that? LOL Especially when they start to have attacks coming in from several different angles (all day long). It's going to be tough. -
Both cpu's have their strengths. AMD is faster overall due to the fact that it's "HyperTransport" feature is a multi-ported, bus technology used to transfer data from a chip to other chips or other parts on the motherboard meaning that it can be operating several buses simultaneously at full bandwidth which makes is way faster than Intel's "Hyperthreading", which is a technology that disguises itself as a feature that is able to run multiple programs at the same time when they're really not.

Not surprising at all. It's only going to get worse for Mozilla/Firefox. Their foundation is starting to crumble. Hackers are getting in more frequently. "Don't play with fire and get burned...browse smart & secure with IE6/7." -

Even though I don't care for anything playstation like, I've got to give it up to the PSP. Games look pretty damn good on that thing.

A recent survey suggested that hi-tech jargon is proving tricky for many people to understand. Find out how technically smart you are with our quiz that tests how much you really know about the world of the web and computers. Please don't link to your test results. Bill Gates Still the Richest Man

Yep, only Big Dogs make the list. Mozilla/Firefox is small fish in a very big pond. -
I would go with the AMD 64 because it's a better processor, and plus it's a new system as opposed to the refurbished Pentiums. HP/Compaq Pavilion A839N AMD Athlon 64 3400+ / 512 MB DDR / 160GB HDD / DVD
