I noticed you have a rounter. I swear I am not trying to sound like a broken record. Could it be you need a diffrent set of drivers for vista with your router? Not sure if its a option. Can you bypass the router, Hook up direct and see if that fixes it?? Thats about my limit of knowledge with connection issues with vista. Sorry I could not be more help. You could always partition your harddrive and run vista and xp til vista gets patched and behaves a bit better.

If you have the model number of the speakers it sounds like a driver issue with vista. If you want give the model number and maybe one of us can find something that will work for ya?

I can say this is the very first time I have ever seen this type of issue? Could it be your internet provider concerned about file sharing so they have a cap on the download size? Just a thought. I am sure there are tons of programs. My browser that I use is opera, I know it has a resume feature. May want to see about some kind of program to help with this.

ca3le was in a motorcycle accident...he's okay tho
ninjageek replied to tdawnaz's topic in General Discussion
You really do need to use the proper gear. Most don't realize leather jackets are not worn to make you look cool, they protect against road rash. In the midwest most drivers are just not used to seeing bikes on the road. When the weather gets warm, and gas keeps going up, you see them more. Be careful, be safe. Glad all is well, I may be nuts but I THINK I saw someone say ca3le has a child? That is the biggest reason to be safe. -
I have a uncle who I love to death. He has had the same "roommate" for 20 years. We call him aunt ron. While my uncle will never come out as it were, everyone knows and thats cool. I love him. He is a good guy. Well one night I stop by to say hello. OHHHHHHHHH I will never do that again. I go to the door and some guy lets me in. I am gonna have bad dreams about what I saw for sometime. It was wall to wall guys dancing, kissing, it was wall to wall homo"s. Now what the hell do I do. Well some dude is heading my way. I decide I will be polite but he grabs my butt or whatever I am gonna hit him in the mouth. I hear someone say hey someone new is hear. My uncle comes from down the hall and the look on his face, I felt bad. I had no idea. He bolts to me and waves the dude heading for me off. He takes me outside. We shoot the shit, I apologize, promise to call next time, He kept saying he was sorry, I told him the family would never know. Its none of there business. I went back in and hung out a bit. My uncle was cool. Introduced me as his nephew, the guys chilled out, stopped the dancing and kissing and such. Nice guys. Had fun. I noticed my shoe was untied. God forgive me. No way am I gonna bend over and tie it in that room. I left. A phone call is a good thing..........

I am not sure if any saw it. The movie that really got to me was called "fire in the sky". About some guys taken to a ship and such. They all passed lie detector tests. Which I can see one maybe 2 but I believe there were 4 of them, and for all 4 to pass the test is just odd in itself. Yes I have seen strange things in the sky. Were they ufo's. No idea.

I thought I was the only one that ever saw that movie. It was. Great. Soylent Geen is made of People!!!!! U.F.Os and people from other parts of the universe is like ones faith in the man upstairs. It takes blind faith. I believe personally, there is to much space out there and we would be full of ourselfs to think we are alone. As much of a mess we have made of this planet It would be a safe bet that we are not the brightest crayon's in the box. They just watch us cause its like watching a car wreck. You shouldn't watch but you just can not help yourself.

Earth, Space, Hendrix: The Most Significant Album Ever
ninjageek replied to resopalrabotnick's topic in General Discussion
There are lots of the younger guys and gals that don't truly understand why hendrix was a rare tallent. He played a right hand 6 string with his left hand. It was upside down. The high E string which should be on the bottom was on the top. How he figured out cords still baffles me. Such a sad waste of huge tallent. -

Hate based on the color of skin is sadly enough something we americans know all to well. Killing thoes of diffrent color and hateing others because of what they may call there God. Considering what we did to the indianians, the black man, and lets face it now the hate is directed towards thoes of middle east decent. Myself included I tend to forget our nations past. I am embarassed about what my for fathers did to others for no reason. Hitler killed over 4 million jews. I would be willing we killed just as many black, indian man woman and child. I don't condone any of it. Guess I just think all this hate is sad. Let the people of the same sex want to get married well thats just wrong. Just don't think we can stop the hate. I think in the 60s the hippies had it right. Hey lets have some smoke, and make love not war. Oops.......someone push me off my soap box.............. -

Here is a intresting little ww2 fact. Hitler used female snipers in his army. He believed that most american and british men would hesitate in shooting a female. Please don't get me wrong. Hitler was one evil mean sob. But you gotta give him credit. He at the same time was super smart. To bad he had to use all that i.q. in such a sad evil way. Imagine if he had used it in a positive way. -

I made all 3 of my kids watch schindler's list. At the end they were glad I did that. I honelsty believe it should be the one movie every kid should be forced to watch. Because to forget our history condems us to repeat it. Deep thoughts. (Ok so I saw it in a fortune cookie. ) -
Wow. I had no idea this place even had ads. I love my opera.

All I had to do is put in the ram, hook up the harddives and dvd burner. Install the video card and It was all ready to go. That that you ask is beyond my knowledge. Im sorry. Check you pm's man. That should help you out a bit more in getting it up and running

Well what are the odds. That is the same case I have. Black Aspirex-Cruiser Case. Thing is pretty huge, Lots of room to work with. The only down side is that side funnel It has. You gotta clean the screen on that once in a while. When I put mine together I cheated somewhat. I bought it as a bare bones set up from cpu solutions. They installed the motherboard, the cpu, and the power supply. That removable tray is handy. My build I went with the asus M2npbv-Vmuatx (i think thats the right number ) It has 4 slots for ddr2 ram. I am running 2 gig of dual core ram. The cpu I went with was the athlon 64 bit 4200 dual core. I Put it together nov 2006. If memory servs me correct the barebones system itself Was right at 600.00 Bucks. That included a copy of xp pro. I think the xp pro was close to 130.00. I decided to go with the barebones system that way the cpu died or whatever it was there problem. I have dual hard drives. I added stuff over time. With the ram, video card, harddrives, the 19 inch flat screen, I would guess probally max of 1200 bucks. But the nice thing is, In 4 years my computer will not be obsolete. Learned allot. Believe it or not I can help you with the wireing info. I will attach to this post. The guys here helped track it down. Oops. I may have to double post (sorry mods) I will find it and post it asap for ya. Now for my case, there are wires comming from the panel that are in groups of 2. Here is the colors and what they do!! Blue and White.....Reset Switch Red and Black..... (looks like a battery is the case speaker!) Orange and White...Power Switch Red and White.....hd led Green and White......Power Led I also have the information in my motherboard manual with the what color wire goes where.

Sorry. But lets face it. This little stunt of Bush and his whole "hey lets go to iraq and kill all the bad guys" is forsure gonna have a huge effect on america's economy as well as the rest of the world. Everything is going through the roof. Say what you will about moore and his movies. The one thing that stuck me about his 9/11 movie was that.......as moore claims.... bin landen has so much money in the us, if he were to pull all of it at once, he could create some serious issues with our economy. You will have to ask someone with alot more brain power how all that works. All this time and we are no closer to getting bin landen that we were 4 years ago. Seems odd we are in a country with so much oil yet prices of gas are through the roof. No we should not just take there oil. But my goodness. Bush got us in a mess, and sadly enough, he is laughing all the way to the bank.

a couple of minutes from saw 4 enjoy
ninjageek replied to carltonsteel's topic in General Discussion
Yea I love the saw movies. IMHO they should of stoped with 3. I fear its gonna turn into another friday the 13th and just keep going and going and going. The First one made sense to me. The dude, Why he was doing it so on and so on. Part 2, Well ok I can kinda buy it. Part 3 really stretching it. -
Give utorrent a shot. It has the ability to see if your setting are correct. Just go to options, speedguide and at the bottom you will see "test if port if forward properly" While I am behind a router its not wireless. By default utorrent works fine. That may get you a bit further in figureing out what the issue is. Now I am not saying switch to utorrent. I am saying use it to run the tests and try a torrent and see if it does better. I see your useing gates latest viru....I mean operating system. Do you stil have xp on your puter or on another partion? Maybe See if all is well on the xp partition if you have it. Just a few Ideas. Hope that helps.

I really think people are gonna be upset.........
ninjageek replied to ninjageek's topic in General Discussion
Huh. I thought it was al gore?? Then again I believe Gene Simmions is working on a kiss internet. Along with the kiss pc. Everytime you turn it on It funnels all your money to Gene. My goodness can you only imagine if Gene and Billy had a kid? He would be the king of greed. Oh man I am not gonna preach but what I believe, in the end, people like gene and billy end up on the short end of the stick. -
Yea I use winzip as well. It handles all my needs.

May not hurt to leave xp on the harddrive, install lynix to another partition. Dual boot them til you get the hang of lynix and more used to it. Just a idea.

ninjageek replied to ninjageek's topic in General Discussion
I think in time, yea lynix will start to appear on more and more computers. Its still not ready for your average user but they are makeing headway. If some of the more popular lynix flavors would combine forces, concentrate on makeing lynix newbie friendly, then yea I can forsure see lynix becoming a force to be delt with. In the same thought. Apple has made the switch to pentium chip. They know there os is being hacked to run other computers other than a mac. Would not shock me to find out the makers of the os are "helping" the hackers getting tiger and lepord on the windows pc. Sure wish Jobs would just take the plunge and put it out there for windows based pc. While I don't believe in stealing anything. I don't believe in piracy. With Microsoft and the greed and williness to shaft the average user, I giggle every time microsoft swears xp and vista can not be hacked, have to come up with more inventive ways to try and stop the runaway piracy train. Keep up the good work hackers. Watching you stick it to the man and the company microsoft just puts a smile on my face. FU billy. -
For sometime the debate to install or not to install vista has hit just about every forum. Myself I believe you should think for yourself and make your own choices. The thing that really gets my goat is the release of the next os. They are talking 2010 the latestet for the next release. Some claim vista is a stepping stone into the next version. Vista will be like windows me. Will only be out a short time before the next major release. I guess microsoft is gonna wait and see what apple does so they can "borrow" some of there ideas like they did with vista. I just think microsoft is really putting it to the user of the computers by charging so much for there system and releasing another os so soon.
