  3. Hello Everyone, I have tried all the tweaks I can try to optimize my system but still I am suffering from slow internet connection. I just want to let you know guys that SMARTBROkens's base stations and internet servers are very damn slow! no matter how you tweak your computer and the antenna your internet speed will still very slow. Best solution I can think of is to flood an email complaints to the CSR.
  4. I am able access any nearby basestation again
  5. Hello peepz!!! My antenna was blocked before to transfer to other base station. But after talking to a CSR and explaining my side ( the importance of free to transfer at any base station I want), I was able to convinced her to remove the restriction, now I was able access any nearby basestation again.
  6. my speed at 2 am
  7. hello peepz, i'm so busy, but thank God it's friday. as usual smartbro is still slow during peak hours 7 to 12 mn. hmmm i am so dismayed with smartbro tech support, they promised that they will send a field technicians to transfer my antenna to a nearest base station but until today wala pa rin.grrrr...
  8. hello peepz!!! its been a long time since my last post.i'm back my latest post: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 436 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 386 kB) Download Speed is:: 53 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Main) Test Time:: 2007/07/26 - 4:24am Bottom Line:: 8X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 19.32 sec Tested from a 386 kB file and took 7.25 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-database_down_for_maintenance___score_not_logged User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.2 [!] Although I still encounter a very slow connection during peak hours (7-12mn), I got tired reporting to the tech support cause it's useless.
  9. @coolbuster, I will just inform you if I can, I will check first the availability of material in my place. I want to make one for my self also because I misplaced my default plug.
  10. You've got choice grifter, you have to climb.hehe
  11. 10.0.0.1 - this IP is the IP of the Access Point in the base station. due network congestion that's why a result of high latency, and may have some problem with te base station. I can ping the 10.0.0.1 with consistent latency of less than 20 ms even I am downloading or browsing.
  12. what you will get is the mac address of your LAN card!!!
  13. @coolbuster , @disturbed LOLZ, You can't see the mac address of the motorola canopy by that procedure.
  14. well if you still have the carton of that canopy maybe its written there.
  15. Installers now a days are required to change the default IP to an IP address converted from a mac address.
  16. i wanna share my real time internet speed
  17. My realtime internet speedtest during at 11pm:
  18. lolz it will be addressed also to the customercare hehe
  19. gorge that is only applicable if your canopy IP address is set to its default, but if the installer have change it then you will need the MAC address thing.
  20. @qwertyu you have a very poor internet connection.tsk3. call the smartbro customer service or right an email of complaint to them at [email protected], attach a snapshots of your bandwidth test for the whole day.
  21. you don't have to look for a website you can use the calculator on your windows xp, go to start > all programs > accessories > calculator. then on the calculator, change the view to scientific to view the hex conversion option.
  22. I have to correct my self, change the last number in the IP to 1, 10.131.35.1 <----- instead of 10.131.35.199
  23. I have posted that topic before. First you are going to do is to have the MAC address of the Canopy. For example the mac address is 00:0C:F1:83:23:C7, next is to convert the last 3 hex numbers to decimal, 83 ----> 131 23 ----> 35 C7-----> 199 then the IP address of the canopy is 10.131.35.199 . The 10 is added as the first number in the IP. To access the canopy, set TCP/IP to the Obtain IP address and type 10.131.35.199 for the IP address and Submask: 255.0.0.0 , Then access http://10.131.35.199 to the browser.
  24. yeah right restoring to factory settings is very risky especially for people who are not familiar with these things.
  25. I would suggest if you can access your canopy platform, check your Link speed first and all the box must be checked.
