  1. no. as posted before. FDC updates will be posted in my blog so as not to violate forum rules (coz i think its a form of advertisement)
  2. good for you man. wish you all the best
  3. The brief definition here [snip] edit: url removed
  4. try to use tweaking programs one at a time, in other words one after the other, until you get satisfactory speed
  5. before i got the results posted above, I attempted to stop testing FDC. the reason behind is my installation of Firefox 3 Beta 3, which i believe is faster than its previous version. unfortunately, FDC doesn't work with Firefox 3 Beta 3. plus, my installation of Windows XP SP3 version 3282 has slowed down my speed. i found out later that it rolled back my half-open connections from 100 to 10. changed it again to 100 with tcpip patch, which is contrary to the belief that it does not work with SP3. FDC is almost a month on test today. it started on January 23, 2008.
  6. what bitcomet version is that @ carts?
  7. of course you can't access a proxy. you can access the net THROUGH a proxy.
  8. mine's low prio is set to zero w/c means unlimited. high prio is disabled.
  9. @opens_06 you're welcome.
  10. the 20 steps worked for you. it's nice to hear that.
  11. ok. now you may try these methods http://winhlp.com/node/39
  12. i got this from http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/144718.html "Rename the folder to x Click on Start and Run. Type cmd and click OK. At the prompt you should see; C:Documents and SettingsOwner Type cd desktop and press [Enter] *note the space after cd You should now see; C:Documents and SettingsOwnerDesktop Type RMDIR x and press [Enter] *note the space after RMDIR The folder should be gone now." try it. there's nothing to lose.
  13. a piece of unsolicited advise: don't mix up things so not to mess up things.
  14. what's your basis of saying so
  15. nevermind port forwarding man if you don't have the licensed software. smartbro will limit torrent traffic. oh btw. best uTorrent is version 1.6
  16. you're welcome. nice screenie you got there, but your desktop is overcrowded. why don't you make a toolbar to organise all those icons? the advantage of having few desktop icons or folders is a faster computer startup.
  17. try uTorrent port 46889 i think smartbro is limiting torrent traffic that's why you are getting a red circular tick. the best thing to do is look for a torrent with more seeders. and choose carefully the tracker you are getting the torrent from.
  18. the answer would be yes. try to imagine a choc'late cake, even if the icing is thick, if you slice it into two neither both sides will be larger than the whole
  19. yes. give it a try and see for yourself the difference
  20. why? are you far away from your base station? there is already a thread about it here http://www.testmy.net/t-20809 please feel free to read.
  21. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.0b3/releasenotes/ Anyone tried Firefox 3 Beta 3?
  22. here's to make it more significant. usually when an update is available, it contains improvements in the program interface and bug fixes as well
  23. ok. got it. there must be another prizm server.
  24. i think the "server is down" thing occurs because prizm should not operate on sm level but on the ap level. meaning, a 7mbps upgrade needs to be done in the central station, not in subscriber PCs. if we don't do it that way, its like turning a light switch on yet the main switch is off.
