  2. 1/29/08 7:40 AM MNL Time (FDC Test Day 7)
  3. woooh. can't wait for that...hope you beat the capping!
  4. ok. your inputs are helpful. keep 'em coming.
  5. inasmuch as i would like to give a grand release for FDC, which was designed primarily for smartbro users, i prefer not to advertise it here at testmy.net in compliance to forum rules and guidelines. from now on, all you will see with regards to FDC are results of stability and or comparative tests. you can read the updates on FDC in my blog.
  6. as i have posted before, FDC will be available after a series of tests for a period of a month or two. be patient. everything has its own time.
  7. it is with regret to inform you that FDC is still on test process, for a month or two. the release date is not yet determined.
  8. we can comment on that upon karlo's posting of test results, for comparison.
  9. 1/28/08 11:10 - 11:15 AM MNL Time (FDC Test Day 6) FDC enabled FDC disabled
  10. its possible. we just need to verify from sven if he rotated or relocated his canopy antenna prior to upgrading the module version.
  11. here's a definition from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distributed_hash_table "Distributed hash tables (DHTs) are a class of decentralized distributed systems that provide a lookup service similar to a hash table: (name, value) pairs are stored in the DHT, and any participating node can efficiently retrieve the value associated with a given name. Responsibility for maintaining the mapping from names to values is distributed among the nodes, in such a way that a change in the set of participants causes a minimal amount of disruption. This allows DHTs to scale to extremely large numbers of nodes and to handle continual node arrivals, departures, and failures. DHTs form an infrastructure that can be used to build more complex services, such as distributed file systems, peer-to-peer file sharing and content distribution systems, cooperative web caching, multicast, anycast, domain name services, and instant messaging. Notable distributed networks that use DHTs include BitTorrent (with extensions), eDonkey network, YaCy, and the Coral Content Distribution Network." DHT works on public trackers. DHT is enabled by default in uTorrent's BitTorrent section under the BitTorrent additional features.
  12. welcome to testmy.net @derek22x good tutorial there tho i haven't tested it myself. is there a chance to change the aggregate by doing this process? coz i haven't found a way, aside from prizm of course, to increase same from 1Mbps to 7Mbps.
  13. older canopy antennas have 7mbps aggregates, while the newer ones have 1 mbps. rarely, it also depends if the higher tech dept upgrades not just the canopy sm but the ap modules to a 7mbps aggregate.
  14. 99.74, that's my IP eversince. take a look at my first test result: 1/27/08 6:45 AM MNL Time (FDC Test Day 5)

  18. i am also hesitant of an early release. there are still a few things to be ironed out.
  19. for #1 - i don't use quickfix. recommendation? UNINSTALL. #2 - yes there is. keep on tweaking. just keep a record of all changes that you make, it will be useful once you mess up.
  20. nope. sven's results are inconsistent, but his connection is also fast per database record. 1/25/08 10:30 AM MNL Time (FDC Test Day 3)
  21. yes, still on smartbro. skyrocketing speed courtesy of Formula De Coolbuster (FDC) now being tested. yours is a fine speed already. keep it up
  22. our pleasure. come back here more often for updates. there is still room for improvement.
  23. currently shelved. i like this replacement thumb's up guy
  24. man you have a bunch of s**t in your system. here's what you have to do. 1) Scan for viruses, spyware, adware. If possible, uninstall BufferCHM. It is a suspected virus. 2) You have Webfldrs XP, a manifestation that you are on a network of PCs aren't you? Sharing of one smartbro connection to several PCs can slow down your internet speed. Uninstall Webfldrs XP if you're not uploading via File Transfer Protocol. It is probably taking up a large 4095 MB of space in one PC alone. 3) Quickfix is not fixing anything. Recommendation: uninstall. 4) Remove all those programs that you do not use. you may have removed some of the startup entries but some might be running on stealth mode. Clean up!
