When Will Your Lock-In Period Expire?
coolbuster2007 replied to coolbuster2007's topic in Smart Bro (Wi-fi)
looking at your speed stats @ megabytez, i can say that smartbro is really inconsistent when it comes to speed. http://www.testmy.net/tools/database/db_search.php?type=comp_id&q=1869315781679&limit=30 another thing, i do not know if this is a bug or something, the test result depends on the test file size, isn't it? -
haven't tested it with windows 98. and just why are you still on windows 98? upgrade man.
-
oh no. don't do just yet. reformatting should be the last option. i suspect a manifestation of a virus or spyware. try to scan with a good antivirus and antispyware.

@ Effulgence welcome to TMN. yes it is smartbro - advertised speed 384kbps. with the help of the 20 steps and the advantage of IDM's multi-hyper threading technology, i got that DL speed during off-peak hours.

Utorrent Speeds without any tweaks etc.

the tcpip patch you're talking about is capable of changing the half-open tcp limit. default windows tcp limit is 10. but most of forums i read recommended increasing it to between 50 to 100. mine is set to 100. i'm curious, if I set it to say 10000, what will happen? are there consequences? -
may i be allowed to butt in? with due respect... choose ADSL. butt in....i just did

hey karlo, very nice flash presentation. your download speed using IDM, however, is very slow. there must be something wrong with your connection or your IDM setting. take a look at my IDM speed:

based on your setup and actual usage, is 3G speed better than smartbro's? screenshots please...

hey karlo, welcome to tmn. nice cute story you got there! your rssi is low because, as what you posted, your antenna is pointing to another direction. good rssi is 700. got mine at 860+ to 1000+. yours is way too low. try to look for a smart cellsite/tower, that is where they mounted your smartbro access point (AP). then beam your canopy antenna there. access your canopy page and look for that color where you have the highest RSSI and Power Level and lowest Jitter value. if there is another color code which has almost the same values but has less UserCount then go for that color code. cfosspeed might have affected your speed. smartbro, i believe, is already shaping internet traffic of its subscribers. as most can see in utorrent, that downloads/uploads have been limited, that's why a yellow triangular or a red round tick shows. btw, the english name for alambre is "tie-wire".

haha. now you've seen for yourself becman. i recommend you use TCP Optimizer. set the slider to 3000 kbps and Optimal Setting. you'll be more than 1 mbps faster.

hey SC, its easy to pm or ym me for permission. nevertheless, its been done. we heard your side and its no big deal. this time i found out, it's not easy to have the same account at the same time for two persons. if the other gets messy, the stone will hit two birds at the same time. u know what i mean?

@ GroundZero we are pleased to have you here at TMN. before anything else. i would like to clarify something, when you say that you have 13 units, does this mean you have 13 computer units? because, basically, if you're on a router you will really have a hard time accessing your canopy page because of TCP/IP properties settings. kindly post also all programs that are installed on those units.
