so if its a proxy server of a program, esp a sold program, its legit (oh im just guessing).
-
to what provider or server these proxies belong?
-
hey, my advise is, when doing a process, always keep a record, a notepad/wordpad log of all the things you did so that when somethings mess up, you can easily roll back the previous state of your configs & settings.

SMARTBRO PLAN 999.. Please POst Your Fastest Speed Here ^^
coolbuster2007 replied to megabytez's topic in Show off your speed
so you have reaped the fruit of your labor 3-4 months later...not bad. pleased to meet you too! you must have a very high RSSI since you are close to the base station. try to turn off your firewall before accessing your canopy page. (personal exp: i found out recently that comodo firewall blocks access to the canopy page). and oh yeah, the lesser the usercount (er, in your term, "people") the higher the chance you will get faster speeds coz there's less users consuming the bandwidth allocated to your access point. hope you enjoy your stay here fella -
@ jovantot just a query. can you assure that setting up NAT in the canopy would be safe, in other words are you literally using it? coz members esp the new ones and those not technically versed who will follow the process might lose their access to the configuration page or worse their internet connection.

i think so. why not start pressing the *1888 keypad buttons? go for #1 for new applications so as not to waste your time and cp batpack charge? a csr can answer our queries i believe.

its on a case-to-case basis. if your isp is still using an analog switch or V.34 analog modem traffic (encoding style), your speed for a 56Kbps modem connection is at most 33.6 Kbps. so, a 70 kb homepage is downloaded in 2.0833 seconds. if your isp connects to or is a local phone company with digital lines that accommodate 56Kbps connections or should we say support either ISDN or V.90/56Kbps analog modem traffic, you can download a 70 kb homepage in 1.25 seconds.

plug-it is also at plan 999 offering unlimited usage, perfect for mobile/laptop users. the existing ap's will still be for users using the canopy antenna. yes, the 3G being utilized in this new product is also the same 3G on cellular phones, so basically it is being transmitted thru cellsites. 3G services include wide-area wireless voice telephony and broadband wireless data, all in a mobile environment. the existing canopy system (wi-fi network) is shortranged mainly developed for data while 3G networks are wide area cellular telephone networks which evolved to incorporate high-speed internet access and video telephony. so which do you think is better?

the latter is the answer. the difference is it now comes with a usb modem connected thru 3G.

that Amit OS was never a service pack 3. i tested it in early 2005. it is just the interface modified with longhorn and vista like themes and wallpapers coupled with windows update packs. but if you take a look at the my computer properties, it still says service pack 2.
