the scarcity of a 6-pin telephone plug has prompted him to be creative. that's good. but the question is, has he tried it and was the overriding successful? btw. i have a couple of images of 6-pin plugs in my possession. take a look.

i'm from a province in davao. any problem with that? anyways, i am sorry to post this. i am not going to answer any more questions that are off track or derailing the topic coz i might be dragged down again. tommy & cocknuck, thanks for dropping by sirs.

you don't have to rotate your antenna just to look for another AP. usually there are 6 APs in one base station which are beamed in all directions. all you have to do is look for another color code which has high RSSI, low JITTER, low POWER and LESS Usercount. that is, if you are able to access your canopy sm page. i remember someone in tmn who used to have AVG and still got an average speed. but when he switched to avast he got better speed. i think you should try it too. most routers have their own firewall protection. in case you are using your router for firewall, try to disable the built-in Windows firewall coz it might be too much and will slow down your speed strength. fr0stbound was right when he said it might slow down your connection. ok you have a router. when you go to http://www.j79zlr.com/cablenutXP2k.php for the calculation of your cablenut ccs setting, see to it that you use 1492 as your MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) --> MTU = 1492

fine ZaZi. zup with you?

that's nice. welcome to tmn @ RJdg33k. enjoy your stay here.
-
that is alright enzobaby. you can post anything you want at tmn, except anything that might harm others. its nice to know you have great pc specs.
-
to tell you honestly i consider myself not an average internet user. i chat; i play online games; download movies, music, games & softwares; i play local and online games; i help others at tmn; i make my own blog; as part of my job read a lot at wiki and other knowledge sites to augment my know-how in formulating policies and measures that will be beneficial to the people in my province ; tweak connections; install or troubleshoot pcs; solve connectivity issues; do image and music editing; upgrade cellphone firmware via internet or pc; review & experiment softwares & games; surf yahoo, friendster, microsoft, snapfiles, blogs, mtv, rick.com, youtube, etcetera. and internet security plays an important role in my internet life.

lol not at all. i was just asking
-
comodo boclean does not speed up your connection. it will give extra pc security.
-
what is your basis of posting this?
-
your speed at tmn is closest to your true speed. limewire is an advanced peer-to-peer (P2P) program which means that you can connect to another user directly, without need for a central point of management. this makes your DL faster. All you need to do is install limewire and it will connect you to other limewire users at the Gnutella protocol. what you are experiencing when reaching 100+kB/s is temporary speed surge. what am i up to? to gain more knowledge and share that knowledge to others. i just read a lot. please elaborate on what you mean by boot froze mode? thanks.
-
can you possibly quote that @ snip? just refrain from posting the link to that forum.
-
no problem with that fr0st. every one has his own choices depending on personal experience and satisfaction with the software's performance. i have a new discovery, its Comodo BOClean. has anyone tried it?
-
great find!

this is the beauty of having internet in our lives. we get to learn new things and knowledge everyday
-
thank you fr0st for concreting this humble theory

i guess we should start a thread on answering a question with a question. but i think there have been praises for netstat live, although i do not use it so i can't present nor compare results whatsoever.
-
if you say that you can get real speed results with netstat live which shows that your speed bursts beyond smartbro's adverstised speed and weird speed test score from testmy, is that tantamount to saying that testmy speed test results are not real, in other words fake? what is your concrete basis of comparison

Content filtering could slow down browsing speed. An internet connection may slow down due to stricter filtering policies of an anti-virus system. Every anti virus program has the ability to monitor and filter content from the internet and other applications in real time. Content filtering is accomplished using a virus database that is compared to those emanating from the content of your internet browser and other applications. When accessing, receiving, or sending data, the data is analyzed against a virus database, and if a match occurs the file or application can be filtered, blocked, closed, quarantined or deleted, or a combination of these actions. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

here it is. worked for me but not a guarantee that it will work for everyone.

@ miloboy thank you for taking time to post those images. some say they are effective but i've been avoiding the use of norton products. they are so heavy on memory usage and the shareware factor is a minus. using quickfix especially quickfix 2 is a no no. it does'nt live up to its name, in other words it does not fix anything. i hope you are not running bearshare in startup and when having a speed test coz it will greatly affect your speed. and nod32 may affect internet speed. try avast, comodo firewall pro, and comodo boclean. this combi works great for me.
