  1. I can deal with the popup dialogs, but I'm locked out of a bunch of folders that I should be able to access. Ex. C:UsersphpApplication Data I can get into subfolders of that, but only if I know the directory structure by memory
  2. I kinda like it, but I certainly won't be buying it... the extra security features are really irritating and it's basically XP with a new theme.
  3. Looks pretty nice... the contrast ratio could be better IMO though...
  4. Mine isn't working as of today... maybe they killed it early. It wouldn't surprise me..
  5. By all means, do it if you can and want to. It's extremely nice IMO, especially when I'm working on projects or websites...
  6. the whole thing is a little overdone... lol
  7. Another thing to note.. some fullscreen applications (games, etc...) will lock the cursor into their window, so you can't access the other desktop while you're running that program. Media Center is one that does this and it really irritated me...
  8. Just a note... you will not be able to use bittorrent on DWay (not at any reasonable speed anyway since you're basically leeching the whole time) Maybe if you got the pro plan with a static IP, but even then I doubt it. btw... it says port open on sites because they're scanning the DWay proxy servers
  9. I closed mine once and it was gone for good... how are you disabling it? (it's been a long time since I've seen it.. kinda forgot how it works.. lol)
  10. Another reason I don't use MSN messenger very often... and I think I haven't used yahoo since version 6...
  11. A note though... only sites that allow hotlinking can be used to host sigs, etc...
  12. mine does... then again it's way more than a server.. lol
  13. lol... gzip made it into the top 10 browser list...
  14. I'm not sure about this, but I think only the DW7000 supports up to a 2 watt transmitter. At any rate it would only maybe help your signal strength, not speed. (Not directly anyway...)
  15. Then it's not the same problem parkslope had because he could still get on some web pages... Welcome to the forum btw
  16. It sounds like a problem with your DNS servers. The next time it goes out, try to access the following sites by their name and IP addresses: https://testmy.net http://67.18.179.85 http://www.yahoo.com http://209.73.186.238 http://www.google.com http://64.233.161.104 If you can access them by their IP address and not their name, then something is wrong with your ISP's DNS servers...
  17. What do you mean by not working? No connection, no internet, no shared file access?
  18. Is the router(s) blocking the connections? By default they will...
  19. 40Kbps? I was lucky to get 28.8 lol...
  20. maybe not but it beats my "broadband" connection by a good deal... especially on upload
  21. Surfing will be fine... downloading won't be blazing fast but it'll knock the socks off dialup...
  22. Some of that looks like the modem software crashed and it rebooted itself...
  23. I think you have some type of virus or such... try running regedit.exe not just regedit
  24. It's an improvement, but I still prefer Firefox by a long shot...
