  1. Interesting. Kind of like the Gmail invites. It worked for Google, I wonder if it'll work for Rapidshare.
  2. That's why I say that if you overclock the 4800+ to 2.6 Ghz, or downclock the FX60 to 2.4 Ghz you'll have exactly the same amount of performance. Cache size is 1MB per core on both processors.
  3. It's 200 Mhz faster at stock. If you lower the multi on the FX60 there absolutely no speed difference. The cores are basically identical.
  4. Not really, FX series chips are generally cherry-picked and clock somewhat better, also thanks to the unlocked multi. But a x2 4800+ at 2.6 Ghz will be just as fast as a FX60 at stock, even in games.
  5. I'm using an SI-120 to cool down a 3200+ at 2.7 Ghz (1.525 volt). 42C full load at 28C ambient.
  6. FasterFox is for page loading and other internet related settings, not for speeding the load time of Firefox itself up. You'll get used to it, as you don't need to open new browsers anymore thanks to tabs.

    hi

    Your sig is being rude.
  8. That is correct. The testmy.net name and illegal activities together is a no-go. If you want to advertise for testmy.net, do it like waterRTBH: have your own name for the radio channel and put up testmy.net advertisements occasionally.
  9. It's not a complete processor btw. Still incredibly fast though.
  10. Which won't be fixed for a while. All it does is check the average of all tests done with comcast IPs, and compares it to yours. We would need to add info on individual packages to solve this, and we're working on that. It'll take some time though, there's no easy implementation of that.
  11. That leaves me wonder if there is any sanity in here... not that we need it.
  12. His name will forever be linked to Microsoft, for both the good and bad things.
  13. Nah, he needs modern equipment to pull off those kind of tricks.
  14. Either that or a plexiglass (see-through) board where he's walking.
  15. Advertised free space is done in 1000 base, in other words your harddisk has 250.000.000.000 bytes. But for Windows/Linux/Any other OS that's not 250 GB, it less because they use a base of 1024. While it may seem cheap, both bases may be used, and any solid storage manufacturer uses 1000 because it's cheaper.
  16. From an overclocker's point of view it is useless, a lot of cores can go 2.6 Ghz or beyond. Not to mention the incoming Conroe release.
  17. That's pretty horrid, close to dial-up ping. I hope you can force that ISP of yours to provide a decent service eventually.
  18. Eh, while testmy.net isn't bandwidth limited, it can still suffer from any server issue, which is what seems to be happening atm. Interesting ISP you have. At first the prices seemed outragous, but now it seems it offers symmetrical connections up to 4/4 Mbit. Since you downloaded at over 1000 Kbps, I would guess you're on the 2 Mbps package. Something to note is that once this server issue is fixed you'll need to use the biggest test possible, because you're overseas and on a decent connection. Try the dual-test
  19. The only speed you can trust from actual downloads is the download speed showed at the end. Otherwise it includes burst, and even worse, the time between clicking the link and picking a folder to download it to. Testmy.net doesn't suffer from limited bandwidth.
  20. Problably CA3LE trying to get more money. He's evil, I tell ya, EVIL!
  21. Got the same one. Still wondering how the hell they got that mail addy, but the content is so rediculous anyway
  22. That scammer had a little too much time on his hands. I'd almost paypal a dollar to him for the effort.
  23. Seems like the speed is automatically regulated, and I could get this 120mm to do 840 rpm and have decent temps (45c or so), but if that ain't a 120 mm fan then it's virtually no airflow indeed.
