Could be the OS bogging it down. Durons aren't all that great, you could say Celeron are a bit better than those, but for quality: Get neither.

That's because your browser starts the download once you click the link, but the speed display starts running from the moment you see the download taking place, which is after you picked a spot for a file to save to. The download speed from middle to end of the file are the most accurate because of this.

Do test with the 2992 KB test, it's much more accurate on your connection. Don't go for the fake speeds produced by tiny download tests.

The only way to settle this is to create battle bots out of the consoles and have them duke it out.
