yea it does, just don't count on it to do a very good job...

your only going to be booted into one at each time. also if you wanted you could download paralles workstation and run linux in there as a VM to check it out

KDE looks very much like windows, gnome looks like OS X. I personally like KDE because gnome isnt really done all that well and i feel like its much easier to use. Ive had alot of people tell me ubuntu is very easy to use, but i just don't see it. I personally think suse is the best and easiest to use. With suse you get YaST which is like a crazy windows control panel you can do just about anything in there with out the command line.

you may also want to look into other linux distros such as suse with KDE instead of gnome on ubuntu

i'm assuming its a battery powered spring loader if it is then it can do auto, if not then there is no auto.

starship the switch is broken. There is a small lever in there for the switch and the auto one is broken or missing.

The card will work with that power supply. It will not pull the full 18 amps all the time if ever. The only time you may/will run into a problem is when you run that video card at 100%

as far as i know/remember gates will be completely out. He is retiring from the company. and balmer is suppose to take over his seat, when he leaves next july. It will be interesting to see what happens when gates does finally leave. from what i have seen there are no other notebooks that look better then the macbook and macbook pro. If anyone knows of a notebook that looks better please show me, id love to see it. And there desktops forget about it the mac pro is by far the best looking computer out there, and most likely the fastest consumer desktop you could buy. If they got there server line to take off, it would be the death of linux and all x86 servers as we know it I used a old g4 xserv and it kicked ass....

Windows "7" (next version) Is only going to be an "upgrade version" of windows meaning its basically vista with some cool new things. Expect just basically pure 64Bit, and what ever apply puts into OS 10.5 and 10.6. Personally I think 4 years it just outrages for just a small upgrade. In the time between XP and Vista apple put out 5 OS upgrades, 10 if you count the server versions. MS has really lost it ever since they started trying to beat Google. One thing you have to remember is microsoft fucked them self, when they made the registry in windows 95. They could make windows so much better and more secure if they would just get rid of the registry. But they can't because then nothing would run. By the time the next version of windows comes around, Apple will be deep into second place with PC sales. And Microsoft will have shot them selves in the foot because balmer is taking over really soon, and we all know what kind of nut job he is

wyantm06 you have to be doing some because this really doesn't happen anymore. epically on 2 laptops that you have had. Call up Toshiba on it. I have had god know how many laptops, and a ton of LCD monitors (4 new ones ever 4 - 6 months ) And i have never had this problem. If you do the whole touching thing on it this will happen.

well there is a cell phone, then there is a smart phone. Big difference, its not for everyone but those people who want/need a smart phone this is the best one. even if you just use the phone and maybe the other stuff now and then its the best phone ive used. The only complaint i have with it is edge, but i'm just about always near a wifi access point so its ok.

there is nothing you can do. that is about as fast as you can get. You have a 3mbps line and you are loosing less then 200kbps.

i have an iphone, and it was worth every penny i paid for it. I would have paid a $1000 for it. and everyone i run into wishes they had one... and you may pay more for a apple product but in the end you get more and better quality for your money.

all it takes is 1 apple product to get hooked. usually when you get one you end up get another apple product.

if your tv has a vga connector on then use that. if not, your going to have to use s-video if your laptop has that.

from what i have read, and seen its a whole new display. and it looks really good. I'm hoping to get one here in the next few weeks.

$1200 bucks is still well worth it for that computer. I went to the apple store on my way home from work and it looks amazing. The best screen i have ever seen.
