This is just a thought but if you have 5 static IPs why not just use a switch instead of a router and hard set your IPs on your equipment just a thought.

Another thing I have noticed is the response time of there DNS servers they have 3 dns servers the primary one 68.115.xxx.xxx in my area is slower when I ping it 26ms, 28ms, 21ms,30ms due to usage I am pertty sure but the 2nd DNS 24.196.xxx.xxx is about the same as the primary and there third DNS 24.159.xxx.xxx is faster 19ms,17ms,17,ms 18ms so being I let my router obtain my IP auto I have always hard set my PCs connections I just use the least used DNS server #s (there 3rd one) as my primary my home network seems to all around run better and with the dns hard set on the PCs I believe it save a step for my router makeing my home network just a little happier

I tried it didnt seem to change my PC but the wifes PC is a HP a couple years old with limited resourses and it did help I noticed it the most when we where playing DS2

Give me a break I am so tired of people saying the federal gov. was slow to respond I suppose you think you could have done better? First of all most of those people should have never been there they had time to GET OUT and chose not to sure some couldnt because of health. "We (Josh and I) just arrived back from Houston where 8 members of our Civil Air Patrol Squadron (Apollo Composite Squadron based at Georgetown airport -Texas) assisted the multi-agency disaster response team (the first time this has been activated on this scale). Our squadron also provided a HF communications (long distance capable and self-sufficient running off batteries and later a generator) in case it was required. "The team that we were working with handled incoming aircraft from the New Orleans airport. They were transporting nursing home and hospital patients, as well as seriously injured victims that is some cases were taken from the helicopter to the airlift aircraft. We received some patients that were still wearing wet clothes from being pulled from the water! "Aircraft were from the Air Force and Coast Guard, and included C-130's and some C-141's (both sizable cargo planes suited for the job). "The team included Veterans Administration, US Army, US Navy, NASA, US Air Force, Coast Guard, Civil Air Patrol and other civilians. That is quite a feat.... "The team was based at Ellington Field (south of Houston). some people are like sheep with no thoughts of there own just following the person in front of them. If you like you can prove this to yourself sometime durning rush hour traffic and it is moving slow your board say around 30 or 40 mph slowly drift over to the white line on the right and then slowly back towards the center line do this a few times but keep it smooth and slow now look back at the cars behind you it kind of reminds me of a snake this works best on a nice straight piece of freeway. I run a little program that uses the world time server to keep my pc clock with in a second or 2 of the atomic clock out of Denver I believe it is located. no noticeable lag from F-Secure on my systems

I feel NASA should go back to discovering and man moon flights or even mars and leave the orbital flights to the private sector look at SpaceShip One sure it needs work yet but they did something nasa cant do they had to go into orbit, return to earth and relaunch back into orbit in a 14 day time period to win the x prize and did it. I have been using F-Secure and have had no problem if you are a charter customer with the 3meg package its free Used norton for awhile and hated it even after I uninstalled it I had to use a command promt window to remove crap it left behind. AVG Free version seems to work ok and sygate works well also but I personaly like F-Secure the best. http://www.f-secure.com/

it really depends what kind of equipment you are using with a DS5800 up to 30+ miles, with a Ether-Ant 2.4Ghz customer unit up to around 8 to 10 miles put a few pine trees in the mix and more like 4 or 5 miles. Use a Ether-ant LR it has a built in amp up to 18 miles LOS. Buildings and trees reduce range I have a couple customers that are only 3 miles from the tower but are non line of site, these locations require a long range unit because of obstructions that make line of site impossible we I have a few units in use that are only 9db they are close to tower with good line of site. It does make it interesting because every install in different and requires different equipment.
