  4. You may need to boot into safe mode and roll back a restore point or two.

  6. Try the Line Packet Loss test here: http://www.dslreports.com/tools And try this test: https://testmy.net/d_load.php?ni=1&st=st&tt=1&ta=1&top=mirror-reno&out_src=20MB
  7. Please read HERE and post all info.
  8. Try this cablenut file (It has MTU of 1492). Open the cablenut adjuster window, open the file, click save to registry, reboot PC, and retest.
  9. I believe the issue is that these sites, if they do not contain illegal material in themselves, may provide links to links to sites which do contain such material, which could in turn reflect poorly on this site and its forum, having been linked from here in the first place.
  10. a * indicates a timeout, meaning that the packet that was sent did not reach the destination before the TTL (time to live) expired. The traceroute shows the path of data from your hardware out through the network. It bypasses the software on your PC, so it shows the actual path of data over your connection. Your traceroute shows many timeouts, indicating that there is either a hardware or a network issue at hand.
  11. [LINK] Post results.
  12. Then I would suggest scanning your system with the free programs suggested in the sticky (sometimes it's a good idea to pick up an extra one if you already have em) and then trying cablenut to tweak your connection.
  13. Welcome to the forum, Kingknight67. Looks like some latency between the router and the modem. Try making a direct connection and testing speeds again. BTW, what are your advertised speeds?
  14. Server 2 is default when you do the smartest. It loads with a progress bar, however you will see this. You have to click where it says to load without the progress bar. Option #2: Disable the Yahoo toolbar.
  15. Yeah. Your connection is fine.
  16. Looks good. Like I say, the loader bar is conflicting with something on your system, throwing the results of the test off.
  17. Test without the progress bar. Try a couple of these: http://www.testmy.net/mirrors.php
  18. OK, try this one: https://testmy.net/d_load.php?ni=1&st=st&tt=1&ta=1&top=mirror-Odysseus&out_src=3MB If you are still getting that response, clear the cache on your browser.
  19. Sure. Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore.
  20. the 20972 kB test is much more accurate than the 1013 kB test. Try this mirror: http://www.testmy.net/d_load.php?ni=1&st=st&tt=1&ta=1&top=mirror-Smooth_J&out_src=20MB
  21. Looks like it is something to do with the loader bar on the default test. It may be a firewall or browser toolbar/extension that is conflicting.
  22. Try this test: http://www.testmy.net/d_load.php?ni=1&st=st&tt=1&ta=1&top=mirror-reno&out_src=20MB
