  1. Cablenut helps you tweak values in your registry so you can connect faster. Download the program HERE and install it. Then download and open the file I have attached. It will open the cablenut adjuster window. Click save to registry, and reboot your PC. Then test and post.
  2. You're probably right, but gravity is so vague, and it's relative, and there are too many bodies to factor in, and all bodies are in motion, and is there an ultimate gravitational centre to the universe?
  3. Try testing at another mirror: http://www.testmy.net/mirrors.php And also take a look at our cablenut help guide: http://www.testmy.net/topic-1013
  4. OK then....what file type are you trying to burn the downloaded music as?
  5. Way back in uni , I remember learning about an experiment where a physicist (I can't remember who for the life of me and google is not helping) was able to shoot a single photon in a vacuum, and chart the path the photon took. What the scientist discovered was that the photon never charted the same path twice, even in such a controlled environment. His analysis led him to the conclusion that the photon was being affected by variables in the numerous other physical demensions of this world which we cannot perceive (common theories are that there are as many as 26 physical dimensions). He also said that there are a number of layers or dimensions of time, where photons and various other particles are playing an effect (attraction and repulsion) on the single photon in our time dimension. That was about the time when I dropped the course (j/j).
  6. What are your advertised speeds? What OS do you have? Do you have a router or direct connection to the modem?
  7. OK...is this all music (ie. can you copy a CD) or only downloaded music?
  8. Was there any software that came with your burner?
  9. Hi AmazinAzn. Please click HERE and HERE and post results.
  10. I think installing a second NIC and bridging the connections, with a crossover cable as x FiReMaN x suggests, is a good idea.
  11. Suweet. What OS you got?
  12. That's lookin pretty good for RR premium. If you had 10 before, that was a nice bonus, but temporary. Try testing from a couple of mirrors using the largest tests for accuracy: http://www.testmy.net/mirrors.php
  13. ZoneAlarm itself will slow down your download speeds. I wouldn't be too worried about the bars, they only show when data is being transferred, otherwise it says ZA in the system tray. If you want to accurately test your download speed, you will have to shut down ZA.
  14. Sounds healthy. Mom always told me to wear sunblock, but I guess I never knew the whole reason why.
  15. Try forcing the duplex of your NIC to 100Mbps Full-Duplex, or try another port on the router.
  16. Yeah, they'll probably send you a new one. Let us know how it goes.
  17. You might try replacing the gdi32.dll file. You can download it here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?gdi32 The update may go through after.
  18. I was wondering if the trace was any better with a direct connection? I don't think that you will screw anything up with cablenut, you can always clear the values and save to registry to undo any changes you have made. But there is the possibility that you can get better speeds by using cablenut. I'd give it a shot.
  19. IP Addresses often change when you connect to a different UBR. Your ISP may be doing some maintenance on your regular UBR and the load is being balanced on various others. Probably just a temporary thing.
  20. I have used VNC with success. I haven't used the others tho.
  21. That trace is ugly. Does a powercycle make any difference? If not, I would call your ISP ASAP, as in do not pass go.
  22. Seems like the intelligent thing to do.
  23. Both are yuck. The all around fav is Kaspersky, it's solid software...if you're payin that is. Trend Micro makes a good product too. And of course, get a router...a hardware firewall is your best security.
  24. I would suggest using Nero 7 for burning, it is the best software I have used. You can get a trial version HERE.
  25. Ouch....that's a lot of bones.
