  1. Hey all, I decided to post a speed test since I haven't in forever. Lets see some speeds from you all as well.. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 984 Kbps about 0.98 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 120 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/08/08 - 9:26am Bottom Line:: 17X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 8.53 sec Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 24.915 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: 90% + Okay : running at 95.16 % of your hosts average (direcpc.com) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-PT4UW7MQ3 User Agent:: Opera/9.01 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) [!] On the slow side today. I was going to run and upload test, but it was taking too long. I'll run one later. My brother must be doing some kind of shit. Here's my trasmission report: Number of Successful Transmissions 193364 Number of Failed Transmissions 784 Number of Packets Submitted for Transmission 90188 Not bad, .004 failure rate (if I remembered to do it correctly).
  2. I normally get a couple porn emails in like German.. I dont know what this "security" thing is from. And the AdultRental is from, well, let's just say it didn't accidentally get there..
  3. I had a phobia about public speaking a couple years ago, but not really anymore. I guess I just kind of grew out of it.
  4. If I actually tried, I'm sure I could be good at it. I'm not bad at the tests, some of it's like a puzzle, you just need to put it together. However, if I have to do something like an oral speech, or if I'm forced to talk completely in Spanish (which I will 2nd semester), I'm going to fail miserably. So, maybe I'll try this year!
  5. Same here. Spanish 1 sucked, so I'm sure Spanish 2 will suck even more. BTW, my schedule is as follows: English 2 Chemistry 1 Computer App. 2 (basically Web Design) Web Design Spanish 2 Current Events (semester) Intro to 2d Art Study hall I think I have a couple more, but I just can't remember.
  6. I go back a week from tomorrow.. This summer hasn't been that great, but I doubt school will be any better. Although, I will have a web design class all year
  7. My Web Acceleration has been dropping out at night on the weekends lately between the hours of 11-12. Fortunately, it's only on the weekends, and it doesn't normally last longer than about 30 minutes. I think it might be due to the amount of people on, but I don't know. I also still have the problem of my modem restarting all by itself. I've tried emailing HughesNet support, but it never fucking works. BTW, I'm on the 7000 not 6000. I've just decided to vent in this thread.
  8. What modem do you have? 7000?
  9. Has your signal changed at all? Maybe you could be FAP'd.. It is near the end of the month
  10. He posted in the Wildblue forum.. Runescape works fine for my brother on Direcway. It has lag, but he doesn't really complain anymore.
  11. Bittorrent is so fucking slow on HughesNet.. Welcome to the world of satellite internet!! If you have an alternative choice, take it.. Don't waste your time with satellite internet. BTW, expect an outage coming soon, since there will be some severe storms in the Baltimore area in a bit.. What's funny is that I had this storm knock me out this morning (fortunately I wasn't home). http://www.weather.com/weather/map/20902?from=LAPmaps
  12. No thanks. I don't feel like wasting 2 hours of my time being on hold. That just doesn't interest me. I think the only things they would give me is: bad weather, and then they would tell me to not look in the advanced system page anymore.
  13. No, it restarts by itself.. I'm not where the modem is so I can't see it when it happens. Hughes would just tell me it's bad weather or something..
  14. No, I don't know what the lights do. I don't think they do anything, but the modem just restarts by itself.. Check it out, it's done it 6 times today.. ---------------------- Entry Number 0: ---------------------- Time of Reset : SAT JUL 08 20:24:14 2006 [GMT] Asserted at : t=tMct /cm_data/pessd/rem2/ssu/wdm.c#235: Reset Type : Valid Software Reset Reset Reason : Software Watchdog Timer timeout in tEvtMgr task ---------------------- Entry Number 1: ---------------------- Time of Reset : SAT JUL 08 14:33:51 2006 [GMT] Asserted at : t=tMct /cm_data/pessd/rem2/ssu/wdm.c#235: Reset Type : Valid Software Reset Reset Reason : Software Watchdog Timer timeout in tEvtMgr task ---------------------- Entry Number 2: ---------------------- Time of Reset : SAT JUL 08 04:52:49 2006 [GMT] Asserted at : t=tMct /cm_data/brighton/source/usr_s3.c#489: Reset Type : Valid Software Reset Reset Reason : Unexpected VxWorks Exception ---------------------- Entry Number 3: ---------------------- Time of Reset : SAT JUL 08 04:52:49 2006 [GMT] Asserted at : Reset Type : Power Up Reset Reset Reason : System Power Up ---------------------- Entry Number 4: ---------------------- Time of Reset : SAT JUL 08 01:51:00 2006 [GMT] Asserted at : t=tMct /cm_data/brighton/source/usr_s3.c#489: Reset Type : Valid Software Reset Reset Reason : Unexpected VxWorks Exception ---------------------- Entry Number 5: ---------------------- Time of Reset : SAT JUL 08 01:51:00 2006 [GMT] Asserted at : Reset Type : Power Up Reset Reset Reason : System Power Up I didn't do the power ups..
  15. I get the same thing sometimes.. When I turn off my firewall, it goes away. Lately, however, my 7000 has been restarting on its own like 3 times a day. Very annoying.
  16. I could barely hear 22000Hz with my headphones turned up all the way. Obviously, my Ipod doesn't cause too much hearing loss. And I do listen to it pretty loud.
  17. Oh, I didn't see that. I'm still used to the old test results.
  18. Welcome to the forum slaver Did you run the 2992kb test for download and the 579kb test for upload? It looks like you did. And I'm guessing your download results were only taken once, sometimes it takes two tests or more to get an accurate result. Anyway, it looks like your system is running good, congrats.
  19. Yeah, but would they use it? They could have saved a lot of lives on 9/11 by just shooting the "hijacked" planes down.. It's not like the government didn't know about the hijackings before they hit their targets.
  20. I'm 5'11'' and still have more years of growing (hopefully). 172 pounds, also.
  21. Maybe more people are getting Wildblue and having less problems OR they're getting DSL! Bastards!

  23. You can't configure the 7000 yourself.. Can you give a more elaborate explanation of your problem? Thanks.
