Just thinking earlier, I know it's a simplistic and possibly not relevant, but make sure there's no auto negotiations between your NIC's, set them to full 100, sometimes (as I remember ) will "sometimes" auto config them to 100 half duplex, I remember this happened only on occasion when set to auto negotiation. Might want to check that you don't have a subpar card in there that just happens to get the route !? The other ones might be ok. Are your clients, and squid using the same port ? I'm also wondering if the test here cannot be cached, so as normal squid caches on the first load, so each time , is like the first time......hmmmm I'm just throwing things out there, havent really had time to do much anything other then thinking about it.

Id'e have to agree w/ coknuck, or even better yet , the linksys n then flash the router w dd-wrt Locate the specific OS for your router by model number, it will make a $60 router turn into a $3-400 piece of equipment. Makes a huge different in configuration, you'll love it.

You must have had a link to a test that has been , for security reasons, removed. All the tests are still the same, but some links to them have been removed Anyone can take any test here at testmy.net, but as the message says , the tests must originate from the server itself. Which should have been this way all along. I logged off, and tested, and have had no issues, I'm certain it was caching of a now no longer available link, please clear your browsers cache to avoid this.

That little yellow triangle at the bottom, means that the proper port on the router isn't open, you need to get into the router, and set the "UPnP" to "on" , and then there either click the triangle, or look in the preferences of the torrent program to have the program try and port the system . Turning on "UPnP" will allow the torrent program to open the proper port. Sometimes this doesn't work, and you'll have to manually open the poet, and allocate it to the torrent program. Either way, this is not allowing other IP's to connect to your machine, there for, many of them will not send any data.

There's always zillions of errors like this in the logs, nothing to worry about, for one nothing you can do about it, it's just the modem talking to the ISP's servers. Unless your having bandwidth issues, then I wouldn't worry about it. Post a couple speedtests and trace routes, and lets see how your doin BTW, welcome to testmy.net

This setting should allow the application to do this itself, you shouldn't have to do that, but there's been many times I have had to, it all depends on the application, many torrent apps will do this, I'm not sure about that gaming console. For now, just turn UPnP on, reboot the machine, after the router, then start the machine and see what you get. Have you found UPnP in the router yet ? What router do you have , I can maybe find the manual online and assist you that way. Well unless you change the password , then you should not be locked out, and I do hope you have changed it from the default, right ?

The link is actually from the "squid" configuration help page. I was under the influence that was your issue. Well if testmy.net is the site your having an issue with,try logging out, and testing, let me know what the results are.

The best way to allow certain ports through your outer would be a setting within the router itself called "UPnP" or " universal plug and play" this will allow each application to change porting to allow an application access.
