Hey Woody, Good to see your helping others spread useful information about internet. A columnist and curator , well informed is positive for everyone The express dual test run a bit different from the two separate upload and or download tests, how exactly only ca3le the site owner could explain. I as well have always gotten a spectrum of result differences while testing between the two. You might do well testing strictly from the central server for a period, then moving to another test. As each location will for obvious reasons give different results depending on many factors.

That is the word, windows 8 stinks on ice for a variety of reasons.

Hey Hunter, You can take the raw image URI and click the 'image' button in your editor as shown below ~ Or you can grab the bbcode and just paste in this field. Here are your links ../above , using the image button as shown. -
I just wanted to quote what you said. And ask a question........ What is this that stands before me, shadowing the realities of so many, serially blocking the ability for so many to think rational, even when shown documents founding the country , or when preached over and again from so many source , the truth. It is simple. How did we get to the point , after spoon fed for a couple generations lies and gulps of treasonous messages in ever form of the most serious propaganda. How can we as a people , a nation or a race of humans be so blind , to even allow the argument to begin with. How is it even a reality that we consider breaching the trust of innocents, in the name of a few pukes ? Remove natural freedoms from those that have done nothing wrong , in fact quite the contrary , followed any and all silly little quirks to continue to stay 'legal' although illegal in itself. Instead , press more rules and regulations on those who have done nothing derogatory to their fellow man , and likely never will. And how can so many not see this ? And what the consequences are.

Right, this is the same idea so many seem to have taken from the 2nd amendment. Which was intentionally placed in the document to prevent the concentration of authority and power strictly in the hands of government. The history channel is currently running a special 4 part series on presidents, which holds a good bit of 'other' information as well. Nothing to do with hunting or a thrill.

For the record, green cheese on a bed of brown lettuce is some of the best eats available -- ya Ninja, too many guns out there, thats like saying there are too many people out there, no ? Think of it this way, yes, there are millions of guns in the US, I believe 3.5 per each citizen. Knowing this, we have a very safe environment don't we ? The real threat does not come from firearms. It comes from dissidence, which is born of fear. No ? Example might be how young people are moulded by authority, a percentage of young people will not conform and find this obtrusive, changing their mental vision of life and perception.

Why do we need yellow cheese or green lettuce ? Why do we need coins of all sizes and denominations ? Why do we need different styles of compound bow ? I mean really why do we allow stamp collections or pez dispenser collections ? Why bother having any hobbies at all, more than one car ? More than one toilet in the house ? What about more then 8 planets ? Oh wait , they already did away with one of those.. Until we fix what is wrong with the country and planet, no banning of anything will prevent even one death anywhere. This whole lot of tripe is nothing more than to create a shitstorm of bullshit for the people to slurp up , while the incompetent in washington allow God , and all morals to be dealt away with, let alone allow a very small handful of men to decide what we eat , wear and what it will cost us. Control.

I did pose the question to IPB community, they pretty much came up with the same answer as I as well as cable. Too many risks involved. Hell , use skitch I do it all the time for support reasons, fast and has an actual extension

Lots of nice little features in 3.4.1 for sure

AFAIK the line needs to be grounded as close to the modem as possible. Usually at the main splitter, either to the copper pipe or better yet a grounding rod. Each time I've had an ISP out , they have always made sure that grounding was done for several reasons, even if half assed. Where I have beat a rod into the dirt and completed the job once. As far as the tech falsifying documents, this could go either way. If they deem grounding was proper , this could leave you liable, whereas if not you may have a say in moving forward. Let us know how this pans out if you don't mind. Interesting !

CenturyLink DSL speed issues in rural Dixon, Illinois
mudmanc4 replied to bozeman302's topic in New Members
Now thats not very nice is it. I do have to say though, seems they are protecting themselves, if they are maxed out, and sell more bandwidth, everyone suffers, this way only some suffer. You simply are on the short end until they get their junk updated in whatever way, I suppose. -
I suppose my point is , without an extension Erm .... -- see ? This is why it is not allowed by default. This would have to be a hook written specifically for puush / IPB

Welcome Alex, How about run a few tests on each server, (you can change the server at the top of the page) -- and post them in the show off your scores section
-
No I understand, it simply takes the image and reorders the URI , works pretty much the same exact way a shortener works. Maybe the point is that just about anything can pose as an image by these means. NO ?
-
I'm certain there are preventative measures in place already for flash. Where a shortened link as an image , now that can lead to a plethora of almost anything being introduced, no ? Even if html is disabled , allowing this type of link could blast through like a donkey in a potato factory.

That right there would be the feline's mammary gland !!!!! Would open a new slice of parsing images in the field. I'de like to see how this is done, maybe simple , but might need a few security measures.

been interested in other OS lately
mudmanc4 replied to starship_troopers's topic in General Discussion
Really OS x is a jump from windows, so putting together a machine for the now is a great idea running sabayon ( entropy truly is nexgen package management) or debian the old tried and true OS , with as many packages as you can dream up, and more. -
Honestly off hand it sounds s if this is a combination of older hardware and aging lines. Sorry I've not looked, but have you tested from the three available servers at testmy.net ? I understand you are running the auto test ? Which uses the central server, some of us have poor peering or another mid level network flow issue , due to our ISP or their relationships with other providers. Also , running a ping test back to testmy.net would help . To ping a host... Windows Start > Run > type CMD [enter] > from the command prompt type ping google.com and/or ping testmy.net Linux / Mac Under Applications/Utilities open 'Terminal' > type ping google.com and/or ping testmy.net Paste those results here.
