jun101ph Posted June 17, 2007 CID Share Posted June 17, 2007 Hello Overboost, We have a similar problem before. My upload is 3x faster than my download. What I did was I reported thru email with a snapshot of bandwidth test to the SMARTBRO CSR. Then they sent a field technician to check for my antenna. They found no problem with my antenna settings, right away I emailed back to the CSR and informing them that no problem was found in my antenna. I suspected since before that it was on their Bandwidth that has the problem, for sure it is controlled by them. So the following day, I was amazed that my speed result improved to 400+ kbps mark. heavenandhell Posted June 17, 2007 CID Share Posted June 17, 2007 most of the problems are not on our PC or antenna but on their base stations but why does their csr still insist on following their scripted troubleshooting even if they know that the base station is down or experiencing problems? gourame Posted June 17, 2007 CID Share Posted June 17, 2007 the point there is their techs and human resource doesn't even know how to relate. instead they give you blah blahs, no matter how many times the tech checks your site if he doesn't know it will just be the same. NobleScarlet Posted June 19, 2007 CID Share Posted June 19, 2007 Cool Speeds guys! Well, my SmartBro(ken) is now back. Seems that the base station is the one with the problems, and not my PC. Good thing! (And now, back to downloading torrents and playing online games...)

ad Posted July 4, 2007 CID Share Posted July 4, 2007 just got hooked up to smart bro the other day. initially, i felt like the speed was slow.... sure enough, when measured, internet speed topped at 70 kbps. way off the published speed of 364 kbps. may pc is more then capable as it has a core 2 duo processor and lots of ram so i guess hindi pc ang problem. the pc is new so it had some freeware in it. i uninstalled mcafee because i thought it was messing up the anti-phising feature of ie7. measured the speed after and it went up to a measly 80 kbps. i tried firefox also. eh mas mabagal pa kaysa ie7. what's wrong? ganito ba talaga kabagal smart bro? or do i blame it on vista? any help on how to remedy this?
