MYRIAGON ;You're correct.a 1960 Datsun pickup. It could be a late 1959 That's when the first one arrived. Datsun 1000 only featured a 1000cc, 37-horsepower 4-cylinder engine and a quarter-ton load capacity, it was the precursor of better things to come. In immediate iterations, the engine size increased to 1200cc and horsepower to 60.

dlewis23 ;I been a car guy since I could crawl so no wonder.I do leave some for the rest to guess. I never did get a 100% ID on the old Mercedes & I took the picture.I just forgot to label it.I think it is a 1935 or 1936 Mercedes 500K Special Roadster. Heres you one to identify.
-
dlewis23;I think it's a Datsun King cab year model is more difficult say 1977 to 1980 Doomsday ;Not exactly the stock engine on that one.Was it a Rampage or Scamp? Or do you remember?
-
coknuck thats correct they also made a Plymouth Scamp that was the same vehicle like a lot of Mopar. But Rampage is a lot cooler name.
-
coknuck;I had a little advantage .The second car I learned to drive in was a 1954 Buick Special 4 door sedan. It was also my granddads but it was his good car so he didn't let me drive it till I had a learners permit .Then he always accompanied me in it even after I got my full licsense. Now I know why.Back then I didn't. tommie;I kind of mix it up hard & easy but if I get almost all of them that bores people too. I always liked these too bad the stopped making them.A lot more aerodnymic than most small pickups

I'll let someone else try tommie .The hood chrome gave it away to me even before I looked closer.
-
tommie;I left out the convertable part .But this one is different look at the difference in the rear.Much rounder & streamlined.

Yeah water & tdawnaz were having a joking discussion before the Birthday wish I made.I added the drink milk as part of that. Then it all kind of got out of control.Aggr3 finally cleaned it up.I hope The Dog didn't get to much advanced learning.I actually hadn't checked his age & thought he was some older or I probably wouldn't have made the Drink Milk reference. But other than Birthday wishes we need to let the other go.
-
coknuck;I haven't looked for the exact model but 1954 or 55 Buick Special or Skylark series.
-
MYRIAGON;Good answer on the Golden Rocket. On the Ford Fairlane retractable hardtop one of my uncles has one.The top retractc into the trunk but it still has trunk space .There is an area the is a rectangle made of metal walls that is under the center of the top when it's retracted,This is where lugage & other items go. I think there is a modern car with a retractable top also .I need to check but I think some models of the Mercedes Kompressor have a retractable top.

Here's another concept car:

MYRIAGON ;This is the ones you posted. 1954 Corvette Nomad Wagon Concept. Chevy developed a series of concept vehicles based on the new Corvette. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint), the Corvette part of the equation never materialized. Of course, Chevy did release the Nomad the following year under the the Belair line. As far as I know, this is the only one ever made by Chevy. amc11890;coknuck got it
-
coknuck; That is it .Can't fool an old car guy for long.I actually like this better than the Corvette.Maybe it's the heavy Chrome in the front .
-
It's not a Corvette or even a Chevrolet thats why it's one of a kind. There were a few others made but all but this one was destroyed.& it was more or less smuggled out in pieces & reassembled. But legal I guess it sold at auction last year for $3,240,000 . That might make it the world's most expensive car.

I'll put in my vote .I better not suggest one for me I just might get it. If I believed in astrology then I would be a fire sign As an Aries Mars would be the ruling planet or god of war.If any of it holds "water" then that might explain some of my hawk nature.

Since tommie is alergic to cats I won't say what some of my pets are.I actually like both. There are good housecats & there are bad ones that never should be anything but outside. I will say this any pet I have had for many years has been spayed or neutered. So I have helped by not adding to the prpblem. water : I would love to always live the way of peace. But I also believe in knowing my enemy. The Iraqis at least I know they live by the sword & them I know to use the same or better against them. It's the ones like Bush you have to watch who pretend to be on our side but are the real enemy. I will confess to being somewhat hypocritical in this: I'm a Christian & do believe in "Thou shalt not kill" but somewhere the American who can trace ancestors back to the Revolution & further (Not counting the Native American ones) takes over .In this I am willing to kill to preserve the American freedoms & die trying if I have to.But I intend to do everything I can to prevent death. If i can win with words I will but i also remember how many battles that were won against the Native Americans with words called treaties. The correct word would be lies.So wheres the honor in those battles won with words. I will end with a song lyric: Smiling faces tell lies, beware of the handshake that hides the snake.

water;I do speak up.I just don't have the same podium The Duke did. Even those with a larger audience sometimes have trouble getting their message across.Look at Charton Heston the media always made fun of him for his NRA stance.I guess you could figure I'm a NRA supporter.Even if it becomes necessary I do dread the day when I might have to decide to take up arms against the United States government to straiten things out. With the hope that this would not result in another government that was worse & not willing to use the original Constitution as a basis for the law. I'm more of a Sargent & we need a General.
-
If I understand the Homestead laws in Texas. They have to wait for the owner to die & then take it from the estate if they can't pay the back taxes & late penalty fees. That's only if the have it registered as their homestead.& The amount of land you can do this with is also limited. This also depends on in town or rural on the amount of land.

I can't install IE7 with Windows ME so I have IE6. So I guess IE7 makes more noise than IE6 ? Just joking a minute ago but the jungle sounds a cool for a short time.

tommie:eminate domain could be a possibility for their side.It kind of depends on where the courts go with thi.It is beginnig to meet more opposition when it's private business using it. If used by the government it's supposed to be something for the general public good. I need to do a little Constitutional search of eminate domain to see if it's even in the Constitution. For mineral rights I can't see it involves any minerals except brass balls.
