  1. To explain it basically it takes you to the controls available for your graphics card or chip. The controls that the driver for your video card put in the display area of Windows is what you get.
  2. I can't rember anything about the model or year on this one but it's a Mercedes

    Keyboard problem

philp ;Did you ever get it working better?& if you did what worked? one more suggestion I've never tried on of this type keyboards but they do have some software for an on screen keyboard. One of thoes might let you test it to see if it had the same problem.I think they work with the mouse.
  4. Roco ;Is that per tv set or for as many as you own?The satellite for mine isn't a lot more than that.I have a basic package.aprox 30 dollars a month. 60 + channels not counting local over the air channels. But if all I wanted was in the air reception it would be free.I can recieve 5 chanels fairly well this way & 2 more kind on fuzzy not counting the all Mexican language channels. Hell with paying for the bidet.Just wipe with your hand like a man & wash it.
  5. I did my part Roco I stayed in town this July 4th & I even watched the fireworks from my backyard that were at the baseball stadium. I still had a pretty good view.
  6. tommie ;I have known a few people that got food stamps but this was a temporary thing for them while actually out of a job & looking for one.Soon as the found one the welfare stopped. In other words used like it was intended. I guess it is sort of on topic it's about cars people on welfare drive. I think most of these are people with several children & I'm pretty sure it's their car.The signs of children being regular passengers are there. It might even be in one of the childrens names to hide who owns it. Nice folks maybe but they still don't mind taking tax payers money to support decisions they have made.So these tax payers can't spend the money they earned on their own life.So what ever they take makes the tax payer their slave working to make them money while that part of the taxes are earned. So one mans welfare is another mans slavery. I understand your view since some of the houses you rent are HUD I think section 8 is what they call it isn't it.& this is a guarantee of a sort for a landlord. If you didn't rent HUD it would continue anyway. But just remember the rent you get from those nice people is from the sweat & sacrifice of a working tax payer. I will only slightly go into this.Overpopulation is the problem.Simple formula.Too many people = too many resourses used = increased demand = shortened supplies = increased cost. We won't see it most likely but wait till your children are trying to live in a world with 16 billion people if it keeps on the way it has that's what it will be by around 2040 to 2050.Then double that again by 2100.Then imagine what the air will be like. So all electric vehicles & other things that either burn clean or power without burning will at least help. btw: any reference to men includes women I thought I would add a electric car also
  7. philp&dlewis23 ;The above is why I have been suggesting wiring correction before tweaking or modem help.
  8. philp; I-17 does run N&S it T intersects with I-40 at Flagstaff I-40 runs E&W. Kind of like I called I-10 the south interstate it runs E&W but across the southern part of Arizona
  9. tommie; Here i've seen the same one load the welfare groceries into a nice car more than once.I didn't mean to imply the government would start adding gas to help the people out.It would be so the oil companies wouldn't make less because these people cut back.
  10. I've also taken the south desert route from Yuma on the south interstate I -10 that's the one I remember all the way to El Paso.Texas.When I vacation it's usually in the southwestern USA.
  11. No the one I've stopped at is on I-40.But Arizona is definatly not all desert. But I like some desert.I've even took the road out of Tuba City that heads northeast across part of the painted desert & black mesa.
  12. disturbed ;I've stopped at the rest stop outside of Flagstaff several times.Would the pics have been taken there? I've been to the Grand Canyon 6 times I think .Once on the north rim which I would recommend.I've also seen Saguaros National monument I think that's it not National park. I've also been to the Organ Pipe cactus park.& Seen London Bridge at Lake Havasu. A few other site there too.
  13. tommie ; the only light I see at the end of the tunnel on fuel prices is the oil companies are making money but it is costing other big business. This fact is what I see bringing prices down some.If it was just the regular people & lower income people suffering then I think they would continue or get worse. I don't know what exactly they use in your state here food stamps have been replaced by something that looks & works like a credit card. Not that the user has to pay it back like a credit card.It just looks like one & has a magnetic strip. It,s called "The Lone Star" card. The point of this is I'm waiting to see if the state is going to issue one to the people on welfare one to use for gas or add this to the lonestar card.I haven't seen anyone use one this way yet but who knows. It burns me sometime when I see a woman(Usually a minority) Push a basket full of groceries with two more full behind being pushed by her kids & out come the LoneStar card & she pays nothing.& I'm behind her in line with half a basket .I guess it would be too much to ask that they have a Lone Star card only line so at least I didn't have to wait.Since I will be paying cash.
  14. philp ;I don't know why the topic title keeps changing.I don't think any mod would go to the trouble.I know you can change the title on your post. The topic starter can change the title but I thought it only changed it from that one on .I'm not sure a non mod can even do that now after the time to modify limit. tommie I noticed you said you wouldn't be around your children as long as most parents.I hope that's because you had them later. On that my dad dies at 54 when I was 27 so I didn't have him around long enough for me anyway.
  15. tommie;I did leave out a few two-strokes .The only one in the additional list I've used is the chainsaw. When I had a boat it was an inboard. I'm usually the one on the seperationist or isolationist soap box.Good to see someone else there for a change.I guess I'm like most I waiver once in a while. On thinking about it I'm all for more ethanol.I would have to do a few mods to get rid of some neoprene fuel line but other than that not too many other things. tommie how is ethanol on fuel injectors of the kind most cars come with?Do you have to change to ones made for ethanol if you know. Some if not most carb needle valves have a neoprene tip but they did make some all brass & some aluminum needles at one time. But the less foreign oil the better. I also haven't looked into this can we make polymers out of vegtable oil? I knew about the stover .It is good compost for the feild but probably wouldn't require all the leave on now. In my part of the country I wouldn't let any corn be grown. They do grow it around here but it uses a lot of irrigation water. We city dwellers have to drink a mix of lake & well water. So the farmers can have plenty of ground water. They say around 95% goes for irrigation. The only reason we get any well water in the mix is the lake has such a high salt content the have to weaken it to meet state standards. So the least the farmers here could do is grow wheat A lower water use crop. Then they want us to water our yards conservativly .We even have an oil man named T. Boone Pickens who wants to pump the well water from here to sell down state. So go figure.
  16. Much better than"Prince Albert is hiding in my can"
  17. I guess commos sense would be the answer .Then there is no need to change the freedoms. But that's a commodity in short supply. Kind of strange shows have ratings that even can be filtered with a V-chip but if it's a commercial or preview almost anything goes. I scared a freind of mines child several years ago without thinking. He was intently watching some show & I reached over the back of the couch & grabbed him(not hard) & growled. He started crying & I felt bad about it.I just intended to make him jump a little. So chldren definatly see things different. That was a long time ago this kid is around 30 now & turned out OK.
  18. I like that too Running on air. I haven't worked much on two strokes. But they make a great off road bike not a bad weed eater(line trimmer) either.
  19. We know the government controls the media.Bush being President is enough to prove that. On JonBenet Ramsey she is just this perverts ticket back to America.Out of a worse prison & where he won't get any sentence for JonBenet Ramsey's murder because he didn't do it. Where did he get the information.Well let's assume he has family & money here.Let me have a &100000 or so .I'll get the "right" privite investigator who'll put the money where it needs to go & I'll have the unreleased information for any crime I want. Then all they had to do was get him the information. I too am sorry your 7 year old was scared.I'm not sure which commercial got to her.The Ethiopian one I guess.I know the type flies blowing a malnourished child.
  20. That reminds me of a story.Since I'm sure you've heard at least one about the water into gas 'Pill". This is a variation on that.when I was a kid a freind of mine dad said he actually pulled this.He was a real jokester so I beleive he did. He had an auxilery tank on his car & disconected the main one.He pulled up to a full service station & when they came out he said he just needed water .He proceeded to fill his tank with water & then took about 5 aspirin out of a bottle (not an aspirin bottle) & put them in the tank filler. Then he did a bounce of the car on the bumper to look like he was mixing the water & pills .Then he just drove off.I think he did this at several stations.
  21. I liked the gokart.I continued to read & like this too http://www.aardvark.co.nz/pjet/turbine4.htm
  22. tommie; Onseparation I didn't mean to suprise you with what the rest of the world would say.I guess I just get tired of hearing how bad America is & didn't want another source. In reality I'm for almost total seperation as far as I'm concerned the only allies I've seen & feel any need for return are Britain & Australia. On low-value biomass such as municipal waste this would not include human sewage.I need to check but sewage would produce methanol .The biomass would be like you said lawn clippings & any natural vegtable matter we don't use but throw away.I think you mentioned potato peels.Really anything that would ferment & then could be distilled into alcohol or ethanol. So I'm actually in favor of it. on the increase in food cost if they use too much corn then my conebred & Post Toasties will cost more. I'm with Voltageman on the burning of methanol partially eliminating a greenhouse gas. Geo-thermal where it is available is good.To someextent this is everywhere with a heat pump. But not like in places where they have running hot water from the ground. Take me I can use an evaporative cooler most of the summer.A lot more efficient than any refrigeration unit. also tommie on the electric company buy back on electricity you produce extra. They pay almost nothing for this.Like what there cost to produce the same amount minus a transmission charge for getting yours back to them.So really just propaganda. I'm going to see if I can find some info on ocean methane to post. Anyone know what would happen if we could run some heavyduty cables to the Van Allen belt? Maybe a good use for the "International"space station paid for courtesy of the American tax payers.
  23. Daiquirii ;Heres a couple of how to links.DSL is done a couple of ways.I guess I had looked at thee DSL filter with the NID & DSL having it's own DSL line into the house but It can be done with filters on everything & a regular phone jack. http://www.hometech.com/learn/dsl.html http://www.homephonewiring.com/dsl.html
  24. I got the suggestion for this topic from a member.I liked the idea. It's just to say a friendly greeting to another member maybe you haven't posted with on a topic with for a while or any reason.A friendly exchange option to PM. btw ; if it works well I will give credit to the member otherwise I will take the bullet. So to get this started. Howdy Stank_Ho how are things in the Blue Grass state? That is right isn't it?
  25. scumbucketsex ;The MTU & MSS are wrong.I'm not sure which you need but either MTU 1492 for DSL or 1500 for other broadband. & minus 40 these for the MSS. I don't know where the Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 514648 came from but if it needs this size try 524288. If you have cablenut then These set MSS They should be 1452 for DSL or 1460 for other broadband. TcpRecvSegmentSize TcpSendSegmentSize These should be 522720 for DSL or 522680 for other broadband. TcpWindowSize GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize These are based on the size RWIN already being used. Also try disabling DefaultTOSValue by setting it to zero. This works better for some connections. The same is true for EnablePMTUDiscovery. You just have to see which works best on your connection. It can be either way. dlewis23 is having sucess with another MSS setting but I don't want to confuse things this should get you started. FiberOptic ;I don't think he expects 8Mb just better than the under 2 MB he's getting now. I haven't read the link yet but I'm fixing to.
