  1. Especially the underwear at the ankles part at the end....
  2. Yeah it takes good people to take care of others. I think I am a little too selfish for that; that is a personal fault I need to work on. Some day my folks will need help and I hope I will be up to the job.... No cruelty intended Shug - you da' man!
  3. Yeah, I have it unchecked. It says to check it if I want large files, so It is NOT checked, yet I get these huge work units. I better get some points for this one, been a zillion days. At 49,500 of 50,000 frames right now edit: just did some math: It is averaging 27 Seconds per frame, CPU usage is set at about 95% (of a P4 2.53Ghz, at 100% it lags a little on a few apps). That comes out to 15.625 DAYS of cpu time; that's if I run it 24/7.
  4. That was good. Now it would have to be "My assisted living people" instead of "my cubicle" in Shug's case. But it would still work.

    PF USAGE

Wow - 550 MB for the process? I would check for newer versions of the software first. If you have no luck there, I use AVG free and Windows Defender, also free, for a total of 30MB or so memory usage. Also, post a screen shot of the processes page (my example is below), I am curious. Be sure not to post your full name (like I just did b4 I realized it, fixed now).
  6. I am at 47500 of 50000 frame WU. This thing has taken weeks. Granted I have not left my PC on 24/7, but it's on every night and weekend. Wish I could say NO to those giant Work Units.
  7. I think nadserver was just looking for the Midpoint software; this is why he revived an old thread. Welcome to the forum BTW I see that the Midpoint link from the old post is DOA. Let me look around. Any one have this software currently? edit: After looking around, I see why the links are dead. This Midpoint is some ancient tech, like 4 to 5 years ago. There is something better out there, will keep looking.
  8. Thanks tdawnaz and everyone else. I am half way to 70 Happy B-day to all other Nov kids.
  9. I have Van Buren's 10000 kbps cablenut settings installed; also Cox 12/1: :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 12354 Kbps about 12.35 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 1508 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 1040 Kbps about 1 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Upload Speed is:: 127 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/11/09 - 5:34pm D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-07G1E6BZ4 U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-YCWO96KPS User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 [!] My speeds have been a little unstable lately, though.
  10. Yes, the tiny and very HOT planet Mercury.
  11. I always feel tiny and insignificant when browsing the SOHO website. Today the planet Mercury passed in front of the sun. Check out some video here from the SOHO satellite: http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/soc/transits/mercury/20061108/movies/current_tran_195.mpg'>http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/soc/transits/mercury/20061108/movies/current_tran_195.mpg Here is some more info on the transit: http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/hotshots/'>http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/hotshots/ And lastly the link to the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) website. http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/ Sounds like the sun is becoming more active again.
  12. Maybe you had some sort of line problem for a short period that was fixed that day. Hopefully it holds up for you from now on.
  13. Good question. The ethernet port and the USB port each have their own MAC address, so you would think you can use them both separately. You could try 2 separate computers and see if the modem will assign two separate IP addresses at the same time. This may be what is stopping you, your ISP may not allow it.
  14. If your SNR is fluctating from like 27 to 38dB, then there is a problem. Have you have any problems the last few days?
  15. Does you're radio IP start with 192.xxx.xxx.xxx by chance? Maybe you can poll the radio like you can poll a cable modem.
  16. Could not ask for much better. +38 downstream SNR; that is great.
  17. 111MHz? That is an uncommon placement of the DOCSIS carrier. -12 is for sure low at that freq; just below channel 14 (A -2 ish). krazy, I would take everyone's suggestions and check to see that you don't have multiple splitters in line. We want to see that downstream carrier closer to 0 dBmV.

    HELP!

I also have Cox 12/1, Sparicus013, and I could not pull my full download when I was running AnalogX NetStat Live. I got rid of that program, and have had no problem since. Just wanted you to know this in case you had something like NetStat Live running.

    Cable modem

Amen there - like he said avoid Toshiba (no longer manufacture modems, but theres a gagillion out there still). 1- Motorola SB5100 - 5120 2- D-link or Scientific Atlanta
  20. Hey maximum, type 192.168.100.1 into your web browser (or just click the link) and paste the info from the "signal" page and also paste the info from your modems log back here. I am not home at the moment, but I think the log is located under the last tab at the top of the diag page. Click that far right tab and then look for the log. edit: I just realized this thread is from like a week ago.....
