  1. Ditto, ghostmaster - dude needs a woman.... cholla - have you always had this problem with AVG?
  2. You know, I never noticed anything until the recent upgrade to 12/1 service. I could see other Cox users getting their speeds, but I had never broke 11 Mbps, and was lucky just to break 9 or 10Mbps. The instant I got rid of NSL, I am up to speed, every test. :::.. BTW; like the siggy.
  3. I love CA3LE's Cox and I love my Cox; I just love Cox. :haha: Nice speeds. I get about the same speeds here; and the 12/1 is not officially launched yet. Never have any complaints with them.
  4. Holy crap: that is accurate!!!! :haha:
  5. Does any one else here have NetStat Live installed on their PC? I have had issue getting my full speeds lately, I have Cox 12/1 service. I was just thinking a few minutes ago that NetStat live is running in the background - maybe that's the problem. It is supposed to give you a DL/UL speed measurement in real time. It was, but it slowed me down while doing it. I was lucky to break 10 MB/s before un-installing NetStat Live (I decided just to get rid of it) Now I pull 12-13 MB/s every time; It never affected the upload speeds. :::.. 7. Welcome to the forum, demigod019. You tried a bunch of things, but what about the NIC card? Is it still the original one, or did you try a different one already. post some ping results, also. ping www.testmy.net -n 50

  10. Sorry, Shug - I think TestMy.net looks best, IMO. Please don't spank me-
  11. Before I logged in, it showed all 3 of dlewis23's examples in lower case. Now that I am logged in, I see the 3 different examples. Never noticed that before. By the way, I usually just take the lazy way out, using all lower case.
  12. What brand of modem do you have? Try typing http://192.168.100.1/ into your browser. If you can pull your signal levels from that page, paste them back here so we can see them.
  13. It all seems fine now, but every few minutes the pages were timing out on news.yahoo.com, but all other sites I surfed were fine.

  20. Thanks, cholla. I actually turned the sounds off a few minutes after I updated to IE7 a few months ago. I was just agreeing with ctlenator on how annoying the clicks are...
