Yes it is still illegal to uncap your modem even though it is yours. Same as buying a wide open cable box or satellite receiver is illegal. Mot to mention, your ISP will eventually figure out that you have changed the config files and bust you for it. So, it is just plain not worth it. Big difference; is that the white silicone heat sink compound that gets all over you if you are not careful? I have never installed a CPU before, but at work we use that white compound when replacing hybrid amplifier chips. Messy stuff.

I used to pay for McAfee = problems; generally Trojans. Tried Avast = Really no problems, but the active monitor limited download speed to like 7-8Mb/s. I have bow been using AVG Free coupled with Spybot S&D for over a year and have had ZERO problems. Works great. My Vote: AVG

Those pings are EVDO Rev. A and look nice. I don't have Rev. A here yet, will be nice when it comes along. I hate to chime in this late, but I think Unity's point is the freedom of 3 separate cards, and it sounds like the $ is not a big issue. Glad to see your happy, unitychild.
