  1. Same here, run both, and no problems. Last spyware infection, both progs popped up and killed it....
  2. Looks like a motherload on Yahoo video: click here
  3. The Conan O'Brien website has a bunch, click link and look for "Triumph" at left and down. Open the Michael Jackson one, funny as hell. I have a couple videos on the PC, but no way to host them. http://www.nbc.com/Late_Night_with_Conan_O'Brien/index.shtml
  4. I think it's a good idea. You could use the existing speed stats from testmy.net and add in sections for user ratings on service, price, customer service, downtime, etc... Then could have a forum section associated with each (if not just the existing ISP sections). One problem I can foresee and is big fat sissy liars screwing up the whole thing with false info. (sorry, lost it there for a second.lol) May need to work around that via IP address, or something.
  5. That isn't looking to bad to me. With your extra memory, it should fly..... (is your memory compatible?)

    Check it

-15 dBmV is the lower limit for recieve levels. That does not necessarily mean it will just quit there, but it will prob start to degrade. btw, your levels look good.....
  7. Your signal levels look good. The one issue I see is the downstream SNR (signal to noise ratio). Although 31.1 dB SNR is in spec for a 64 QAM channel, it is a bit lower than you want. Not much that you can do except verify your connections are clean and tight. If you can eliminate a splitter in the line, that may help by increasing the input to the modem. That is a big IF, though. Most likely a line issue. If the problem continues, I would definitely call your provider.....
  8. 10-4, your modem is acting like it may be experiencing a signal level issue. FYI: Ideal recieve levels are -10 to +10dBmV. Ideal transmit levels are between +30 and +52dBmV. If you are outside these limits, it may be an issue.
  9. Uhh, did you say something??lol I am all about the 1GB RAM on any box. That should be the standard these days.
  10. You should never have to unplug or power cycle any of your gear that often (never is more like it). I am not familiar with your cable modem, are you able to poll the modem's diagnostic info? This is usually done by entering the modems local IP into your browser. ( Motorola modems use 192.168.100.1) edit: added link. Refer to line 1.F. Hopefully this works. If it does, post levels and any other useful info back. http://www.broadbandreports.com/faq/7363
  11. Uh oh- I guess the Circuit City deal is also without a monitor (damn small print), but still a better deal than Tigerdirect. Double the HD, double the RAM; exception is Win XP Home at CC, and Win XP Pro at TD.
  12. I went back to a thread I started (in the General Discussion section) and I have the option to add a poll. Maybe it only works in certain sections of the forum. Anyone? Refer to attached pic:
  13. I couldn't find anything, either. pitbull, you should consider applying at Circuit City for the deal REVOLUTIONIZED posted. Worth a shot, that's a great deal.
  14. Compare these two links: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1481547&Tab=2&NoMapp=0 http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/HP-Pavilion-Desktop-PC-A1112N-/sem/rpsm/oid/130464/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do I might just order that HP from Circuit City right now, not bad..... Circuit City is selling twice the PC and with a monitor for $70 more (then theres a $50 REBATE)
  15. I would run away from the refurbs, who knows where those things have been. Have you considered Dell? I know you want to apply for credit at Tigerdirect, but consider somewhere else. Revolutionized's deals above blow Tigerdirect's away....
  16. Scroll to the bottom of the page, you should see an add poll icon>>>>
  17. Your a good man, Shug.... Drive fast and reckless

  20. I have only bought from ebay once, so I am not really sure. I would assume that there is a minimum price that the seller wants, but I did not see one advertised in this case. It appears that he has had 219 sales thru ebay, all with good marks. So I would guess that he won't renege.
  21. Read the description in that link. Says he got it at the Star Trek Experience gift shop at the Las Vegas Hilton. Maybe you can call them and have it shipped.....
  22. I have never gone this far, always liked the movies, though... Anyone remember the Saturday Night Live episode with William Shatner and the Trekkies :haha: I ebayed both, and found one auction for your Romulan Ale. It's a start - http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Trek-Romulan-Ale_W0QQitemZ5997537668QQcategoryZ155QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. I guess now I'm curious as I'm sure you are. Did he maybe try some headphones in the headphone port? This just to eliminate the speaker system being the culprit. I would think a new sound card, with new drivers would probably eliminate the board. Would the on board sound and then the new sound card still use common resources of the mobo?
  24. Are the speakers plugged, turned on and the volume knob turned up?..............................................................................................SORRY :haha: :haha: I couldn't let that one go Let me think for a bit..

    broadband problems...

What MYRIAGON says ^. My connection had been slow a couple days ago, for a couple days. I ended up re-booting my PC and Router (which hasn't been shut-down in many weeks), and that took care of my problem. I should have mentioned that earlier.
