no bsod. but very rarely, no more than 4 or 5 times an hour, no, i'm kidding, really very rarely like once in a blue moon i need to force the system to power down by turning off the box. probably due to too much system uptime and fiddling with it when it happens. otherwise xp pros sp2 has been good to me. it's the best OS ever imnsho.

wireless internet is like sat internet. the more subscribers the slower. and i have only the powerlink package w/o the cable. get tests here in usually the 3.5 down 370 up range. limits are set to 4.4 and 384. downloading for example from MS i get over 500 kB/s at times. as for stealing music, movies, programs and everything else i don't know. but limiting that seems like a good idea, keeps the bandwidth cost for onelink down and thereby the customers costs.

at least the fcc won't have to be on their toes too much to see what the effects on the radio spectrum are. the exploding spectrum analyzers should tip them off.

yeah, it's us dollars. dell also chares 99 bucks for example to upgrade a desktop from 256 to 512. steep, but realistic in a way. but 250 from 1 gig to 2 and then 3999 from 1 gig to 4? i doubt the 2 gig sticks go for more than 500 each...

thehalf, once you buy a license it's good forever. and if you buy a prebuilt box you get the windows thrown in for practically free.

those 2 comps, if they come with windows licenses, i'll give a hundred each plus shipping. if they come with an ms office license 15 more, 20 more if with at least 17" crt and optical mouse, keyboard. anything larger than a 19" crt or 17" lcd earns another 10. pm me.
