How to burn PS2/Xbox readable dvds
ghostmaster replied to TheForesaken1's topic in Networking and Hardware
What brand of DVD are you using? The weight of the DVD can also effect its performance in the PS2. Try a heavier weight like Verbatim if you're not using those... -
Actually they have 2 NOC's. One is in Las Vegas, but the other is in Germantown, Maryland. Although, bad weather @ the NOC is usually the excuse used when they have no idea what the problem is....

Just download the update from Sony's website, and put it on a flash drive. Thats what I do. I don't have to suffer through the slow downloads of the PSN servers when a new FM comes out.....
-
aweful.....just aweful..... . though I praise the producers editing skill....... and if anyone questions my love of family guy, just look at my sig.............

I don't think downgrading his version of Vista is going to help. Like Ninja said, does it do it without the router involved? Maybe your router needs a firmware update to be more compatible with Vista's TCP/IP stack....
-
Im thinking you just need a new keyboard...
-
Hey what you do with your ISP is your business, im just talking about slow speeds....
-
I think ISOhunt was targeted recently as well.... I hear demonoid is good. I wouldnt mind an invite to that.....
-
Yeah, right now im having a problem during the day when its really hot, my SNR goes from 38 down into the 20s and jerks around a lot. Makes my connection fairly useless when it does.
-
Yes they are supposed to be doubling speeds on all plans. 5mb goes to 10, 4 goes to 8, and 1 goes to 4.(quadruple I know) Hey shug, I didn't know you were a fellow Suddenlink minion...
-
Photoshop will open them I believe, and I think Acrobat (full version) will also. Gimp (open source) might open them as well.

Sounds like you need a new mobo, or proc. Have you tried memtestx86? http://www.memtest86.com/ Download the ISO image and burn to a CD. Then boot to the CD and test will run automatically. It will check your L1, and L2 cache, and all of your RAM for errors. If you get errors on L1, or L2, I would recommend just getting a new mobo, and processor.

The IP you are seeing is not your static IP, it is the IP of Hughes http proxy. All http traffic on hughes goes through their http proxy, unless you turn it off on the modem, which I wouldn't recommend doing. This sounds like a misconfiguration on the router. What subnet mask did you use on the router? It should be 255.255.255.252 for it to work right. You would still be able to browse with the wrong subnet mask.

It would help if the PS3 had a hardware scaler like the 360, but I suspect it passes through the graphics adapter so it does a pretty good job anyways...
-
yep, with firmware 1.8 and higher I believe....
-
Yeah, you can have it...

Don't knock the Westy, im loving mine. You have to pick the right one though......

Sounds more like the old grounding problem. Make sure the transmitter is still grounded on the dish.
