Have you enable file sharing on the beast? Find a folder with files you want to share on the network and right click properties and then share it (just enable file sharing). Try typing in administrator with no password on the the other computer if the computer that you are trying to share stuff with has no login, if it does try that. Sorry if thats tough to understand.
I've been leaning towards some gskill tccd as its pretty cheap. Im going to put some stuff from my last computer on ebay then get some new ram, for now I guess I'll just have to deal with being unstable. Thanks for all the help though.
With 274 I had it at 133 divider 3-3-3-8 and errors. With both the cpu and ram at stock I still get errors. I'll try it will cpu at stock and ram at 3-3-3-8.
With cpu stock at ram at 3-3-3-8 still errors .
Mushkin value ram.

Right now I only have one stick in because I was seeing if it made a difference, guess not.
My motherboard has memtest86 built in so Im running that and its getting all kinds of errors .
148 and its cacje I cant remember the week.
I'm up to over 32000 errors so I'm going to cancel and try the memory and cpu at stock settings.
Not even 30 seconds into it on stock at over 3000 errors, should I get new ram?
When I go into pc health stats in the bios it gives me this
cpu core 1.58 (I have the voltage at 1.65)
3.3v 3.32
5.0v 5.02
12.0v 11.71
vdimm 2.6v
ht voltage 1.34v
and some other stuff
That would make since cause im stable, for awhile cause i havent let it run long, when i do the prime95 test that tests very little ram. So maybe more power supply isnt able to provide my ram with enough volts, or my cpu cause i think its getting less than it should.
Would this be related to me being unstable? I know very little about power supplies but I've been thinking of getting a new one, it would be great if my current power supply turns out to be the problem.
Hmmm I was looking over my voltage values and found
cpu core 1.58
2.5 1.14
3.3 3.33
12 11.78
Shouldn't that 2.5 be alittle closer than 1.14? Or is that not a problem?
I've pretty much narrowed my limitations down to my ram. While I can get to 274 I'm not stable, but then again im not even stable at stock speeds, damn you value ram.
Ethernet will be much faster than wireless. Ethernet will be 100mbps (not likely that you have gigabit) and wireless will be 54mbps, some have a turbo mode of 108 but wired will generally be faster and more efficent. So under ideal conditions with 100 ethernet you could transfer 12.2 megs a second.
I don't know because I cranked the voltage up to 1.650 and everest says its about 1.50-1.52 and now Im stable at 2.9ghz, the bios also reports the voltage as about 1.5. Im kinda thinking its problem with the motherboard undervolting, could be my power supply idk. Hopefully somebody can give me some more information on this.
In the bios I set my voltage at 1.55, but it says its only at 1.47-1.49 in everest. Is my motherboard undervolting or is everest reading it incorrectly? When I go to pc health stats in the bios the voltage also is 1.55.
