You've checked everything? Is ram secure etc...

1.Does it sound like its starting up, like the hardrive is being accessed and other normal start up sounds? 2. Do the fans just spin for a second then everything turns off? If 1 do you have something like realvnc installed so you can try and access the computer that way? Make sure the monitor to video card cable is secure also. If 2 try and unplug something unnecessary to start up, like a cd drive. 3. Report back here.

If you dont have a dvd decoder installed then yea windows media player won't be able to play it. You'll need to look into getting a program to play your dvds or a codec for windows media player.

He could be getting terrible signal all around the house and decided to test it right next to the router and saw its barely 80%.

Get a new power strip or surge protector, but be sure not to piggyback anything though. -

Just wandering who did this to me?
richcornucopia replied to Y did i get Banned?'s topic in Archives
Scruff scruff, multiple times you were disrespectful to members of this forum, including mods. If you are wondering who did this to you, it was all the mods, they voted to ban you. There really isn't anything you should be wondering, I mean wandering about because you were unkind to members. Besides the disrespect, you're not much of an asset to this forum if all you can advise members to do is use google when most people search google before making a post here. Have a nice day and work on that spelling. -
I'd set it at about 200, you leave a little bit left so surfing isn't sluggish.

What processor is better for gaming?
richcornucopia replied to Sonu's topic in Networking and Hardware
Amd all the way for gaming. Amd 64 vs x2 you wont see much of a difference in gaming, but what the dual core x2 processors are good for is multitasking because they have 2 cores. Right now most programs the average user uses aren't written for dual core cpus so you won't be able to take full advantage of your cpu, but in the future this will change. If you are just going to be gaming and not running a lot of programs at once go for an amd 64 because gaming wise its the same as an x2 just cheaper. Do you have any thoughts on overclocking your processor? -
Very nice, this site just keeps getting more popular.
