Cool, I added a notice for now on the download test page letting people know how to disable it for this site. Hopefully whne Google gets back to me they can tell me a more automated way to get this done

I am contacting Google about this to see if they can give me any insite as to how their program works... so I can write my script around the problem. Maybe they can add testmy.net to a don't cahce list or something.

By the way, this is currently in beta testing. Public release should be fairly soon. We are working on a modded version of webpress, and I will be making extensive additions overtime to make this weblog script better serve this sites news. Best idea I have seen posted here yet! We will start by giving Damon a free beer first... One from each country our various members are from! :haha: Now this is going to branch into a "What's your favorite beer" conversation. I guess I will start off Budweiser is okay if your fishing or riding ATVs - Corona is okay if your having a good time in Mexico (but I have grown to kinda dislike all Mexican beer because of too many trips to Mexico, lol) But for real beer I LOVE anything from Rock Bottom here in Phoenix. Great beer! I also love Stone's selection (they are from California) Arrogant Bastard Ale is one of their good ones and Stone IPA is great too.... But the past few months my over all favorite is Grolsch (Holland), it has a very deep taste.. heavy hops but not too hoppy at the same time, very crisp. If you go out and get some Grolsch make sure you get the 4 pack of 16oz flip top lids.. awesome bottles and I swear it makes the beer better, drinking from quality bottles just makes it more enjoyable. This isn't usually a beer most people would favor though... make sure you like beer because I have heard quite a few people that I've thrown a bottle to talk crap about it (what the hell do they know anyway) it has a very long after taste (which I love but most don't I guess). I tell them "Hey, I'm Sorry. I like to taste my beer... not just drink and get drunk." lol. People say crap like "Grolsch... they need to rename is GROSS." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Try it, if you like it --and-- live in Phoenix --and-- go to Pint Night at Rock Bottom on Thursdays at Desert Ridge --and-- happen to see me... next rounds on me! Can you tell how much I enjoy beer ~ TGFB! :evil6:

I will think about that next time I do an overhaul - not a bad idea at all.

Less than 2 weeks... for real

Everyone has their own idea of what a speedtest should be. By trial and error over the years I have came to the version I am using right now. It will without a doubt change over the following years. But right now the version I use is used because of compatability issues, their test uses flash and some of my guests come to this site because of the fact that you don't need to download any special plug-in's - That test looked and worked great for me also... but my results were actually exactly the same as testmy.net --- testmy.net I think I got 4409 Kbps and that site I got something like 4403 Kbps (I am running slow right now). Nice test, but as with most testing sites no upload test, and no logging and stats. Then again, that's not that websites goal anyway, they are a newgroup server(s) so I understand. By the way, I don't know if you use them for your newsgroups but I personally use www.usenetserver.com I pay something like 14.95/month for unlimited transfer and I max my connection out without a problem everytime.

I don't even open the top lid... I just piss all over the walls, lol. Okay, now the truth... seat up... when done put 'em both down, I want to be in a happy marriage one day so I thought I would start training right now.

Are you sure there is no limits... I looked at their website and it says nothing about that. http://www.troycable.net/services/rez_broadband.mv Looks like their best package is 2Mbps/256Kbps ~~

I get that error sometimes too.. it's a problem with SMF and hopefull will be fixed in their next build. What I do is when that happens I click back and then click the subject title of the post I want to quote... that reload the page then the quote will work just fine.

Okay, I will get a new managment program in place first... then what I think would be cool is if I made it to where curtain members will log into news admin accounts and will have access to add news, with photos and URLs -- stuff like that. I will try and get started on that soon, I will keep you guys posted

btw, you can also check your ip at https://testmy.net/whois.php - there is a button that says "check your ip" and it shows your IP ~ may be quicker for ya, I know it is for me.
